Virginia Green has no process for training technicians properly. It's either that or technicians just don't care about work. Partially applied 6 applications for weeding and fertilizing and every time they miss large sections of my yard. This is the 3rd season at two different properties that they have done this. They over spray and kill your plants and garden due to lack of attention to detail. I lost all of my Squash and Cucumber plants due to their carelessness. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM USING THIS OVERPRICED SERVICE FROM A BROKEN COMPANY.

We have used Virginia Green for two years now with little issues including the seeding and aeration last year. This year however, the crew that performed the seeding and aeration damaged the yard and then the manager "Corey" who stopped by stated they do not consider this damage and it will grow back. This is what a $500 seeding and aeration job looks like from Virginia Green. Most unprofessional manager I have ever encountered and no repair or fix by Virginia Green. Buyer beware.

I have no idea if they will ever help with my lawn or not. I am still trying to get them to keep their word about replacing the beautiful ground cover I had on the entire west side of my house. They killed all of it in their first "treatment." They killed the ground cover in my garden as well. What the heck! The admitted their mistake and expected to leave it at that. But it took 10 years and a fair amount of money to create that living beauty. The only way to get them to make it right is to be willing to take them to court. But even then, I had to prod them every step of the way, put up with multiple unnecessary delays, find the plants for them because they said they couldn't find any (try a little harder), catch them cheating me (19 plants instead of 30), and threaten court once again. Now I'm waiting to see if Cole will do the right thing or break another promise.

So far ok work but terrible customer care. The person in the office is rude, annoyed that as a new customer I would bother him with questions - just sent me to the web site. I had to sign up online to view the charges and figure out the breakdown of my bill. I am partially blind and had to get help to do that. This company was referred to me by a friend but I won’t be referring them to anyone else.

Monthly lawn fertilizing and weeding began April 2019. Some weeds disappeared but spider weeds were never destroyed and cancelled the service in October 2020. Overseeding and aeration was done well and grass did grow but the grass in the sparse areas of the yard didn't grow well. I have clay soil and no one from the company discussed with me how to adjust the composition of the soil for better grass growth.

Lawn care seems OK but customer service is substandard. I have found them difficult to work with from a customer perspective. They are expensive and with that expense, they are not available. It is nearly impossible to reach them on the phone when there is an issue. I have called my servicer a number of times for follow up information after a service call. He is never available, and a phone call is never returned. Right now I am trying to pay a bill via phone, because that option is not possible online and I don't want to send a check during the holiday season. I have tried for a week to reach them and all I get is an answering service who takes my number (or so I have been led to believe) but have not received a return call. I have been calling during "open" hours. They will not reach out to return my call, but they had no problem emailing me yesterday to tell me my fee due. Whether or not I continue to use them will depend on if they charge me a late fee when I have done my due diligence over the past week, but they have remained unavailable. If you want an expensive lawn package, they are fine. If you need customer service along with them, beware.

Difficult and disappointing from the start. Promised emails were never received. Questions (emailed) were not answered. What the plan actually included, and the process for adding more services, was never communicated. One "treatment" was provided but it was remarkably brief (~ 10 minutes) and the results cannot really be evaluated. Broadly speaking, some of the worst customer service companies ever encountered. Cannot imagine using them again; have begun working with their primary competitor.

Also, may you please provide the email address that you sent emails to so we can make sure that address isn't having any issues on our end. Our system shows that our technician was there for 20 minutes but we will verify on our end. It normally takes about six weeks to see any changes to your lawn. We strive for customer satisfaction and would love to correct anything on our end going forward. Thank you."

Three applications so far and the lawn is looking better than it has in years. Hoping it stays that way. So far very pleased. They are more expensive than other lawn care services but I'm hoping they do better with the lawn than what I had for several years. I still cut so only use them for their fertilization and weed control program. Their tree and shrub program was too expensive for me so will have to do it myself.

They do our fertilization, weed control, shrub treatments and so on. We’ve used them for about 3 years now. We get serviced about monthly. We have both lawn care and shrub care. Then once a year we do aeration and over seeding for the lawn. They provide that as well. Because we pay all at once in advance it comes to about $1,600 for the year. It’s a yearly contract, that is with 18 treatments combined with lawn and shrubs. They will put down lime when appropriate, they will do seasonal weeds throughout the year. We get seven lawn treatments and eight shrub treatments throughout the year. What keeps me going back to them is because our lawn looks fabulous. The shrubs are doing very well. Each time a technician comes out, he will knock on the door and review with us (presuming we’re home), how the lawn looks, if the height is right, if their watering enough. Same thing with the shrubs. If we are not home they will just write it on the back of the form and leave it on the door. So, we get good feedback and they’re very professional in their work.

It’s part of the package. We’re scheduled for the week of the 14th of October of this year. That’s part of the yearly contract. That alone is $390, but it’s part of the $1,600. In this development, the builder took away all the top soil and basically, we had clay in the yard, so they laid the sod on the clay. The grass struggled a little bit. Since we’ve been doing the aeration and over seeding, they’ve been punching holes in it so you’re getting more dirt and the grass is thriving, it’s healthier. The seeding helps fill in the bare spots. So all in all it makes the lawn look much better.
