Showed me samples of flooring according to what I asked for.  Showed me items that were on sale, and their attributes.  Explained about how much installers would charge for a full service installation including moving furniture.  Sent samples home with me.  A very rewarding experience to have undivided attention by a knowledgeable sales person.

They were on time, and did a good job all in one day.  They also moved the washing machine and dryer in and out.  I like the attention for a small job.

The people they sent out were very conscientious and got it all done in one day which was quite the feat. They had to remove all the furniture. The price they quoted is the one they charged. We were satisfied with the installation as well as the quality of the carpet. They were very easy to work with. Their prices were pretty good. They came out when they said they would. They were all very professional and careful.

I bought carpet for bedroom and stairs and the installation was great, no issues. I also bought vinyl for the kitchen. The salesman recommended a certain product that would go down overtop of the existing floor, with no new luan required. The sales person indicated that the idea was to be able to remove it later, and it would save money in the long run. The produce was installed and I did not notice an issue until a week later, when I pulled out the refrigerator to paint. The corner came up and noticed some sort of whole. I contacted the Floor Trader and they referred me to the installer and said to call the store manager after talking to installer if I was not happy. The installer offered to add more adhesive, and do something that would fix the whole. After thinking about it more, the produce should not have failed by pulling out the refrigerator one time, so either it was not installed correctly( not sure) or its a terrible product. I contacted the store manager and he said no company would replace that vinyl. The store manager blamed me for pulling out the refrigerator, saying I twisted it. I've lived in my house for 15 years, had the prior floor for 5 years and never once had the refrigerator rip the floor. The 10 years before, that it was vinyl stick on squares, and again the floor never came up or ripped when moving the refrigerator. I have no issues with the installer and was very nice when I came to him with the issue. I have issues with the lack of customer service from the Floor Trader Store Manager. Clearly there is a quality problem with this product and the store would not stand behind his product when I requested a replacement piece. The store manager did offer to call the installer, but I declined because I already had contacted the installer and scheduled to add more adhesive, even thought that is the least appealing solution. What I want is a new piece of vinyl, without a hole, that will not rip when I move appliances around to clean under them. I'm tapped out of $ to purchase a new piece of vinyl myself and frankly should not have to do that. I really hate to have to provide a review like this, when part of my transaction( carpet) went so well.

The entire experience was great. I walked into the store on Hull Street, told the salesperson what I was looking for and he showed me exactly what I wanted! He showed me more expensive and less expensive choices to give me comparisons. There was NO pressure. Once I decided, he gave me an estimate, I gave him the room dimensions and we scheduled the install. The installer came and did a great job and I intend to use them when I have my kitchen floor done (soon).

The vinyl installer put the kitchen flooring in the bathrooms, and had to re-do them and re-order the flooring. It was all taken care of with no problems. I thought the installation charges on the vinyl were a bit high, but don't really have anything to gauge it to. Carpet was installed with no problems. Prices seemed to be pretty good, and they were willing to deal, as I got "free" installation on the carpet. This means that I had to pay extra for the stairs, and there were no metal transitions included in the install (at least none were put down). I cut and installed the transitions in no time, so I was okay with that. Overall, I was satisfied with their work and the products. As I said, I thought the vinyl install was high, but it may be in line with others - I don't know. I don't like paying for that sort of labor, so I know I'm biased.

We decided to use The Floor Trader for our flooring needs because when we walked in the door, we were greeted - not bombarded. The salesman that helped us was fabulous! I told him what I was looking for and he showed me everything that he thought might fit what I described. He anticipated our needs before we even would say anything! He was very conscious of price, look, and quality for us as we were on a budget. We were not able to do the entire house at this time, but when we are ready to finish, we would definitely use them again!

They were very good. I wanted a special kind of carpet that was extremely expensive. They worked with me a lot to help me find a very good deal. I spent on the carpet that I liked. It was $4 per foot and I wanted 2000 feet of it. It would have been very expensive but they actually found me what I thought was a very good deal. They found the same carpet in a lighter color and gave me a half price deal so that they could move it out of their warehouse. They were fantastic. I had some health issues and I wanted to make sure that the carpet that I picked was going to be good for me. They probably made five trips before everything was said and done. They were very patient and very helpful. The only issue that I had with them was that the carpet that I had was a lot stiffer than the regular carpet and so some of the things have not gone down. The guy told me that he had a locking on it. He asked me to give it a year and call him back if it did not wear down. I have to call them back.
