Tanner Van Lines Inc - North American Van Lines

It was the move from ****. Items were lost. Multiple items (all which they packed) were damaged and the house was damaged. Boxes marked fragile were mangled. They carried boxes into the house with the arrows indicating how the boxes should be carried pointing downward. They lost a bicycle and ladder. The dropped a slate table on a wood floor, putting a gash into it. They marked up walls in numerous areas. They broke a door. The top of an armoire was smashed in. The corner of a dresser was cracked and the finish on the edge was scraped off. Three pieces of bedding were dirty and ripped. A lamp was broken. Artwork was damaged. The leg of a chair was chipped. We were told we could put items in HVAC storage. We followed directions on how to handle this, but the box we had marked with HVAC was not put into climate controlled storage. Contents were melted. When we complained about this, we were told we did not pay for HVAC storage. We have moved multiple times over the years and prior to this move never encountered any problem. I strongly urge anyone considering Tanner Van Lines (now merged with Stewart) to look elsewhere.

Most everything went well. There were some problems. The owners resolved them.

He promised us we would be able to get the furniture unloaded on a certain day. That didn't end up happening. It wasn't done until the next day, which cost us another day of lodging.

They were recommended on Angie's List but they quoted me one price and when I got moved it cost $500 more than they quoted. Also, I had a piece of exercise equipment that they took apart that they did not put back together after I moved.; they just walked out.Their packing services were not that great; they had two guys who showed up that were not really packers and they did not finish; so on moving day the movers also had to finish packing which took more time. I will not use them again in the future.

They showed up late. They worked very hard and they were very good. They may have underestimated the size of the job because they took a little longer than expected. They have a very good crew. I would recommend them to other people.

They did a fabulous job and out of everything they only broke one wine glass. They were so careful with everything and the price was reasonable. I would recommend them to other people because they were so friendly and they did the job well.
