SUNTRUST MORTGAGE

A process that should have taken 2 months maximum was still not complete 6 months later. Worst experience I've ever had in dealing with a bank/mortgage company. I withdrew my application, and would never use them again under any circumstances.

Suntrust Mortgage is incredibly unreliable.  The mortgage officer was very responsive when I was shopping for a loan.  Once I signed all of the paperwork that locked me into their loan process, three or four emails or phone calls would be ignored before I finally got a response.  As my closing date got closer, I was not kept up-to-date at all on the process and wasn't told until the day of my closing that Suntrust wasn't anywhere near ready to close.  We ended up closing a week late, the paperwork still showed up at the last minute, and was incorrect in places.  Overall it was an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience.  I would NEVER recommend Suntrust Mortgage to anyone looking for a mortgage.

I like this company a lot to be honest. I think they tailor their talk to my specific needs and location. They are more personal than most mortgage companies I have dealt with. They also give you a little room to negotiate which is never a bad thing with a mortgage company.
