About us

n 1984, we started out in an old Chevy hatchback and a little Oregon chain saw. Since then we have grown enormously, thanks to our loyal customer base. We offer many services, from complete tree removal to yard maintenance. Our equipment is kept locally—convenient to the West End of Richmond, where most ofa our business now originates. We previously had a wide marketing area: from Baltimore, Maryland to Lake Gaston, North Carolina, and Virginia Beach to Pulaski County. More recently, we have centralized around Richmond and the West End, but do accept jobs outside this area.

The workers protected 8 recently planted Rhododendron. They chipped the entire trees and made a couple of large piles that will be excellent mulch next year.  Mr. Smith advised us to pile the chips event though we were willing to have them left in the woods.  He advised that the volume of chips would kill other pine trees in the forest and attract pine bark beetles. 
We plan to have him come back next winter and clear more trees.

I gave Neal a call and within a day or two the tree was down. Due to darkness and rain, he came back the next day to grind the stump. I was able to leave a check for him when I left for work in the morning. When I returned, everything was done. He left my yard clean, not even a pine cone remained! He did an excellent job!

They do the job well, they are reliable and their price is reasonable. Sometimes, the work gets done on the spur of the moment. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They are reasonable and get the work done pretty quickly. The tree service guy doesn’t leave a mess and cleans up nicely. I haven’t really investigated their prices with others because I don’t use their services that much.

Neal came out to give us an estimate on removing a double trunk hickory tree that was hanging over our two-story home. He was able to come out the day after we spoke and ended up being able to do the job that day. He is very honest and friendly and he and his crew did an excellent job of taking the very large tree down and cleaning up ( they even raked up all the hickory nuts!). We were nervous that our gutters could have been taken off the house since the tree was so close but he was able to drop it with no problems. We will definitely be using Neal and his team in the future.

Excellent. He took the trees down and ground the stumps very fast. Neal also took down our willow tree 2 years ago. No one can touch his rates and the work is done well and as well as clean up.
