My husband and I are in the middle of a kitchen renovation, Sean Chalifoux is the owner of Richmond Electric Company and he is the one who has been doing our work. He does not mind driving all the way out to Powhatan, he is very flexible with all our other contractors and fits us in so we can get our kitchen done. If he is going to be even 5 minutes late he calls me and lets me know. He shows up when he says he is going to show up. He is an excellent communicator. We have been dealing with contractors who don't call and don't show up, so we really appreciate this about Sean. His work is excellent, I have had Sean do all the work in my last home over $3000 of work changing out an electric board and putting in GFIs etc and light fixtures, and ceiling fans where there was never one before! I could not believe he could do it, but he did! I have recommended him to my dearest friend who's husband is a very picky Chemical Engineer, and he appreciates Sean greatly and Sean has done extensive work at their home in Varina. By the time our kitchen is completed we will have recessed lighting where there was not before, a microwave with venting to the outside which we never had at this home before ( it was built in 1964.) he has rearranged our electrical board and the wiring so we could move our stove to the opposite side of the kitchen and the refrigerator to another wall entirely. Also this past summer his company ran electrical power out to my husband's tractor shed and put in a breaker box and lighting for work inside and out. We have been very pleased with all the completed work. My husband is picky about contractors too, and likes to have his hand and say in things as they are being done, Sean is great about listening to our concerns and allows my husband "to be helpful." Sean has a great personality and is wonderful to deal with. His pricing is very fair for the hard work he puts in. I call him the best kept secret in Richmond...I am sharing my secret I just hope when the word gets out he can still squeeze me into his schedule we have more renovations ahead in our older home and we will be calling on him for additional electrical work!
