Bought a Honda Metropolitan Scooter brand new in 2005. 1/2 mile out of the driveway on the way home, I turned around and returned to Honda House to say something must not be running right. I couldn't carry me up Glenside from I-64 to Monument (this is hardly steep grade!). When I spoke to the salesman he snapped "sales final!". "But I wasn't asking for a refund, only for someone to look at it", I replied. "It's gonna cost you $80 just to take a look", he insisted. "But I just paid you $2750 not 10 minutes ago" I politely requested. He just pointed at the sign that says scooter sales final. So I made do with an improperly running brand new scooter for several months. Then it wouldn't even start. Took them a month to "fix" but it still didn't run right. At least yearly I've returned to the service center to ask why this machine, now 4 years old with 200 miles, has never run right. Stalls when you give it gas. Nearly got me killed on several occassions. Each time, they charge $150 minimum to "drain gas and clean carb" - but it doesn't even run right when I pick it up. "must be ethanol in the gas" they keep saying. Early on, when I was so offended at their rude behavior I suggested that I get in touch with BBB or attorney general's office. "Sue us!" was their response. I can't believe this company has managed to stay in business. I wish I had room and time to write other evidence of their despicable service.
