Description of Work: Our Prius wouldn't start after my husband accidentally left one of the indoor lights on all night and drained the battery. We tried jumping the car from a couple of other sources with no luck despite getting the proper spark when we connected the jumper cables. Being a Sunday afternoon, Glen Allen Towing was the only company I found that had an actual person who answered the phone. Sure enough, a polite young man showed up in the time frame he gave me with the proper type of truck (you can't sling tow a Prius), but when he arrived, he suggested jumping our car from a little battery pack he had. Amazingly, it worked! We will now be getting one of those battery packs ourselves just in case, but it was great! We will definitely be calling them again in the future if there are other problems.

Description of Work: Our Chevy Silverado broke down on my husbands job site on a Sunday, we had no exact address so we gave business's in the area, they showed up within 30 minutes and called our cell so we could direct them to the correct lot. The gentleman asked what the truck was doing and did a quick check to see if they could offer any suggestions and then towed it to the dealership across town on the west end for us. We did not have to follow him, he took the truck and keys and we just need to follow up with the dealership in the morning. This went so smooth, it turned a very crappy event into a much less worrisome process.

Description of Work: My husband was driving to the airport one morning before dawn, a neighbor's tree had fallen across the road and our classic car, '89 legend, found itself startled across the tree.

Description of Work: Amazingly, I have had two experiences with this company in the last 30 days. First, my car had to be winched out of a culvert. My roadside assistance company sent out Glen Allen Towing with an estimated arrival of 70 minutes; they were there in 25. The driver was very careful not to further damage the car, gave it a good look-over to be sure it was driveable, and offered advice on getting a mechanic's opinion. Very pleasant and helpful! Then I was rear-ended 2 week later, and the state trooper called in the same company to tow my car! A different driver, but equally concerned and helpful, checking on my well-being, offering calming and helpful advice. I have been to the lot twice to remove things from the car (I forgot the EZPass transponder the first time, and found the office there equally friendly and helpful. Note... there is a charge to get into the lot on the weekends when they are closed. I opted to wait until Monday morning!
