FINE ELECTRIC CO

Mr Fine diagnosed a short in a specific section of wiring on a single circuit. The breaker would trip as soon as it was turned on. He spent 4 hours trouble shooting each outlet and switch till he had it narrowed down. Of course it was a wire that ran into the attic! He ran a new run of wire to replace the shorted circuit. I would have never figured it out on my own! Highly recommended!

I would not hire this man again. I believe he has passed his prime. He appeared professional at first, assessing the job, submitting a proposal etc. He arrived late for the job the first day on his motor bike. I had to provide a ladder and drop sheets. After four hours he had installed two fans and was tired, stating he would finish the work next day. He arrived after midday the following day having had a wreck on his motor bike. He completed the work and was paid, however we found subsequent damage later. He left the attic in a mess. flooring boards removed and not replaced, nails everywhere. He also managed to kick a hole in the wall in a bed room closet and damage the wood frame round the attic access. This job in my opinion was too much for one man. The information on line states he is in business with his son who was not present for this assignment.

I was very satisfied. Mr. Fine came for an estimate and to do the work exactly on time and the quality of the work was outstanding. It looked like it had been installed when the house was built. I will definitely hire him for all future electrical work.

Figured out a way to install the lights with minimal cutting/repair to the existing ceiling. Also did drywall repair in addition to an area in which we had a water leak. Reasonable price, very professional, and would hire him again.

I have a 1950’s built house with a lot of old wiring. FINE ELECTRIC CO came out and checked every outlet and rewired several of them to meet code. They also replaced my entire electrical panel and rewired all of the connections. I also had them install several ceiling fans, a new garbage disposal, and a new microwave. Fine Electric also replaced the connection for a new air conditioning unit. I was very pleased with the work that was performed and I would recommend this company to anyone that needs an electrician.

Whenever our heating or air conditioning turned on, the lights in the house would flicker.  Larry Fine found the cause and fixed the problem that two other electricians and the power company could not  find and fix.   Highly recommend him.

The Fines do great electrical work.  They're not what you might expect for an electrician - a husband and wife team.  They recommended good products, did a good job with the installations.  They're willing to give you a price up front.  If you're not in a hurry, ask Larry to serenade you with a tune on the piano.

We had a great experience with Fine Electric.  We wanted an electrical outlet installed in our home's crawl space so we could run a dehumidifier in the space.  We contacted Fine Electric for a quote.  Larry and Patricia were very responsive.  They came out to our home to evaluate our needs and location of our breaker box, etc.  We received a very professional quote via e-mail the next morning.  We decided to move ahead with the work, and they came back out in short order to install the outlet.  We had a dedicated line installed from our breaker box to the outlet, since dehumidifiers can consume a lot of power.  Larry even installed a 20AMP circuit instead of the more typical residential 15AMP, to make sure our power needs were accommodated (we discussed possibly upgrading to a higher capacity dehumidifier in the future).  We are very happy with our experience with Fine Electric and would certainly recommend them to friends/family.

it is perfect -- they exceeded my expectations

I was on a business trip when my husband called to say that our refrigerator and furnace had just stopped working. Lights still worked. It was 5:30 on a Friday night when I called Larry from Pittsburgh and asked if he would go by my house to see if he could do something since we could not be with out heat all weekend. He came over and made some changes to the panel to tide us over--he knew this was a Dominion problem; not our house. Dominion did come eventually and fix the electrical feed to the house, but Larry saved us from freezing and starving all weekend. When he returned to put the cover on the panel he also did a couple of other things, really just out of kindness because they had popped up since I had booked the appointment with him several days earlier.

We called Larry on a Saturday night, hoping someone would just answer.  We had lost power to most of our
house in a strange manner and what to do next was a mystery.  Larry spent 20+ minutes walking us through
things before recommending we call the power company first, since they had to come out for free.  They did but saw no
issue so we called Larry back on Sunday afternoon and he came out to do an inspection.  He recognized this issue
quickly and provided us an estimate of the charges.  He was onsite again less than 48 hours later
to install the specified fix and it was under his estimate.  I cannot recommend this firm highly enough
for their professionalism and quick response.

They're fairly good. Their timing and planning wasn't all that great. It's good. They were very professional. They cleaned up. They came back 2-3 days. I had a little bit of a problem. They procrastinated a little but not a whole lot. Overall, it was a good experience.

Everything went great.  They came out, found the cause of the problem right away and fixed it in no time.  Definitely recommended.

This was a sort of emergency call as the surge button on the outlet had popped and it would not reset so I had no power for any of the outlets in any of my bathrooms as they are all daisy chained together.  The folks from Fine Electric came out and were able to determine the problem and replace the outlet with the surge suppressor/arrestor right away.  Before they left we discussed some of the other electrical changes I'm considering making in the home and they offered some suggestions.  I will definitely keep them in mind if I ever actually try to implement the changes I'm looking for.

I paid $50 to have the electrician come to my home to assess the job and give me a price and the $50 would be applied toward the job when it was completed if we chose him to do the job.  He quoted me $250 to reinstall the hot tub and took notes on what else we needed done and said he would provide me with an estimate.  I called the guy back to set up a time for him to come out and reinstall the hot tub as I needed this done right away.  When he was finished with the job and my husband paid him $200 (remember we had already paid him $50) he told my husband "I should have charged you more for this job."  I was never given the estimate for the remainder of the work we wanted performed in our back yard.  I called him after he installed the hot tub and asked about the estimate and he said it would be forth coming but I have never heard back from this guy or his company since then, which is why I gave an overall score of C.  I do not intend to chase down an estimate for services, especially when I already called to inquire, therefore, I would not chose this company again.

As Mr. Fine  and his assistant explained to me what  was going to be done as  explained how the job would be done.  The job was left clean and it was done in a very professional manner.
Job was started and finish in a reasonable amount of time.  My family LOVE  our new lights.

They came right over and installed it.  They went above and beyond to get the job done.  I just found my new Electrician.
