FANNING ELECTRICAL SERVICE

Adam and Ron showed up at our first appointment, last week, precisely on time, (8:30 am) and we walked over what I needed them to do. They quoted a price of $250.00 which was a little steep but we felt that it was worth it due to the fact that Fanning Electrical came highly recommended by my mother's last electrician when he retired. They made a return appointment for Tuesday morning, (10/12), but when the bathroom fixture that I'd ordered hadn't arrived by Monday evening, I called and left a message for them. Theresa, the new receptionist called back first thing Tuesday morning, and even though we had cancelled at the last minute was very polite and understanding and happy to reschedule for Wednesday afternoon. Adam and Ron are very professional but also very nice and friendly electricians. They represent their company well! It was a real pleasure having them here. They were a few minutes late, nothing worth mentioning, and when they got here, Ron went to do the outdoors lights while Adam went upstairs to do the smoke detector and the bathroom fixture replacement. It seems that the young man who originally put in the smoke detector threw out some of the wires that were needed, so the first thing Adam did was go out to his truck and get a new one which he installed without any extra cost. I really loved that when he was done in the bathroom there wasn't so much as a speck of dust left behind to clean. I was ready to break out my pine sol and sponges and when I went into the bathroom it was as clean as it was before they came! The work was done quickly, In our prior meeting I had mentioned that I wanted to sell our house in the next few years and Adam had several interesting suggestions as to how we could make it look nice for a minimum cost by changing several of the lighting features in our home. During this visit, he explained how easy it would be to make the light over the shower a recessed lamp versus the big awkward thing we have hanging in there right now. He also explained some things about smoke detectors and how often they should be replaced as well as explaining the differences between the two smoke detectors we have now. I was tickled pink with the both of them! I will be sure to call on Fanning Electrical Services any time I need an electrician and would wholeheartedly recommend Fanning Electrical to any family member or friend looking for an electrician! They were the BEST!

The two electricians who showed up at the home constantly bickered with one another which was very unprofessional.  There was an existing sconce light above the area where we wanted the track light to be installed and we wanted it to be joined with an existing lightswitch that turned on that sconce light.  The electrician informed me he would have to make several holes in the wall to run the wires but they would be little, so I agreed.  
I was at work and my husband was supervising the job.  He sent me a photo on his cell phone and the electrician made 21 holes in our wall, my husband said he used the largest drill he had, the holes were not little, and HE NEVER EVEN REMOVED THE SCONCE LIGHT ON THE WALL, instead he cut holes and drilled around it!!!  The electrician also caught his drill in some existing wires in my wall which had to be repaired.  Not only that but they did not finish the job because they said they had to be somewhere else.  
I contacted the owner of Fanning Electric a he promptly sent over someone to fix my wall and then had someone else come and finish the installation which I appreciated.  I have textured walls and I cannot just paint over the patch jobs.   I had Fanning Electric out to the house on a previous job to hang a ceiling fan and those guys did a fine job which is why I give this company a C for over all performance.

Business the way it used to be: friendly, warm, courteous and done with exacting professionalism. I enjoyed meeting and talking with the owner. He was very informed and informative. Great experience, and rare nowadays.

Jerry Fanning and a couple of his guys came out to complete the work listed above.  They were 30 minutes early, very professional, and did GREAT work.  We are more than pleased with their work.  This was our first time using Fanning Electrical and we did so at the recommendation of the guys who built our deck (Add A Deck).  The work took around 3.5 hours.  While I understand that this job was likely a small job in the overall scheme of things, Jerry and his team treated it with great attention to detail.  I would used him again and will for future electrical needs.  I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of electrical assistance.  Thanks guys!

The experience has been good with them. There was some problem that they could not fix at my old house and their quality of work is just okay.

My husband has added more power tools to his shop out in our garage so we had to have a new breaker box installed out there. We knew Fanning was trustworthy and dependable so he was our go to guy. I didn t know what he'd charged for a job like this because it was my husband was the one who dealt with that, but I could assure you the job was priced very fair.
