The unit was never installed, I never saw the new unit or a receipt for it though I asked many times. During this winter weather we ran up a $900 utility bill because the house was being heated with an overtaxed auxilary heating unit. At the end of March, I asked for the unit or repayment. He said it would be repayed by Easter. I have not seen him since. It is quite a dip down the evolutionary scale to rip off someone, but to take off an old lady with dementia, buggers belief. Watch out for this con artist.
Description of Work: In 11/09 my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers and had to sell her house. Based on neighbors' reccommendations she hired David Flannery to do a variety of work. It was completed on time and at estimated costs. On the day she was moving, he came into a very harried situation and reported that the heat pump was no longer working and would soon be out of service. For the price of $2250, he would replace the unit by the time I arrived from LA the following week. When I arrived a week later the heat pump was not repaired, VA was in the midst of some of the worst winter weather in decades. Each few days, I would get a call from him explaining why the work couldn't be completed. Every excuse except the dog ate the compressor. Family deaths, tooth decay, wrong unit delivered, couldn't pick up unit because he forgot receipt etc.
