Could not make it but the appt was made quickly.

We had been using an accounting firm in our hometown 5 years after moving to Richmond. However, this firm had disappointed us two years in a row with simple mistakes that we found ourselves. They also disappointed us in handling damage expenses due to Hurricane Irene. In 2012 we sold rental property and did not want to return to our hometown accountant. We sought out an accouting firm in Richmond to help us with our 2012 tax return. We found Blair and Associates through Angie's List. We called them in early March and asked if they could take on a new customer. They set up an appointment with us for the next week. We took our 2011 and 2012 records to them. The accountant that met with us was friendly and professional. He quickly developed an understanding of our finances and was very knowledgeable about how to deal with the sale of he rental property along with the cummulative gains and losses associated with this rental property. He completed our 2012 tax return within two weeks. In addition, he found a significant mistake in our 2011 tax return and amended it. This amendment to the 2011 tax return resulted in both a Federal and State refund. As a result, we were extremely pleased with Blair and Associates!

We met first with Jean who identified what documentation would be required to complete our returns. Later Elizabeth helped complete the effort - even calling to remind us of our extended filing deadline. Both were very professional and adept in their fields. I will use their services again in the future.

Margaret Stokely, CPA, was very friendly and helpful with preparing my taxes. She answered all my questions. She made me feel comfortable and not rushed. I felt confident in her knowledge and if she has questions, she has several CPAs to consult. My returns were couple checked by another CPA.

The tax consultant was very organized and professional.She kept us on schedule and suggested several things helping our return , saving us money.

I went to her because my own TurboTax results indicated I would have to pay thousands of dollars to the IRS on my 2009 federal and state Imcome tax returns. I thought she would be able to find a different solution that would save me the money my own figures said I owed to the IRS. We discussed the services I needed and I provided her with the necessary documentation; she asked me for more information, which I provided. She completed the federal and state income tax returns in the timeframe she said she would. However, I was disapointed that there was almost no difference between her results and the results I got with Turbo Tax, and I had to ask her for strategies to avoid future unplanned additional taxes. Her answer was to refer me to some financial planners she knew, which was not really what I was hoping for. Maybe I should not have expected that kind of help from a tax consultant / accountant. In the end, I was satisfied knowing she had done the taxes correctly. However, since there was little difference between my own TurboTax returns and hers, I probably could have saved myself $275 by relying on my own TurboTax results.

I procrastinated and did not get to the accountant until April 14th. She was able to complete my 2009 taxes - which included a move from out of state - within 24 hours. She was professional, friendly and provided high quality service very quickly.

The level of professionalism, diligence and expertise is unsurpassed. I am certain that they have saved me many thousands of dollars that I would have missed(or made errors on)had I not engaged them. I recommend highly.

I became associated with Logan when my independent tax preparer chose to join the company. I had always been extremely satisfied with her. She knew more about my finances than I did, and I enjoyed seeing her once a year and catching up. A few years ago she reduced her client load because of personal life events. My account was given to Elizabeth Racheau. I was sad to lose my long time tax person/friend and nervous about going to a new person after so many years. I've been to Elizabeth now for 3 years. I am totally satisfied. She is friendly, knowledgeable and proactive. She too, asks the right questions and jogs the right memories. I have great faith in her and am impressed with other staff that I have interacted with. One evening, after hours, I called the office with a time sensitive emergency. The owner, Mr. Logan, actually answered the phone because the receptionist was gone. I explained my problem, and he took the matter very seriously and handled it himself. That impressed me.
