I was really impressed with them. I would never use anybody else. One time, I had a flat tire leaving my driveway. I had another service come and put the spare on. I called Axselle, drove over there and they put it up on the lift. I waited five minutes. They took the spare off, they found a nail and screw in the tire that was flat, and were able to take that out and plug the tire. They put the tire back on, and away I went because I was on my way traveling that day. They did it so timely and so well, I have put over 1000 miles on it since that happened. They said it was good as new. It was a relatively new tire. So by doing that, they saved a tire, which are not cheap. The timing couldn't have been any better. I had a two and a half hour drive to get my granddaughter from the school bus, and had already lost time. They took me right in, and changed it for me right then. They are my auto repair. I have a 2006 Honda with 150,000 miles on it. I don't see any reason to take my car to the dealer. They were recommended by people who grew up in the Richmond area. It's just a man and his son. They are really good. They won't sell me something I don't need. I really like them.

I have been to Axselle several times and will go nowhere else. They are professionals in every sense of the word. I had a wiper blade that was broken by somebody in the parking lot where I work and they replaced it in two minutes at no charge (they installed it initially). My tires were put on quickly and the oil changes are done much faster than when I took my car to the dealership. The folks at Axselle never try to sell me something that I don't need (unlike the dealership). A great place to have a car worked on no matter how large or small the job.

We use Axselle Auto Service.  We were there in December 15th of 2015 for inspection and any repair that needed to be done.  My heater has been an ongoing problem just because it's an old heater, it seems to like to rust and things like that.  The rust in the heater plugged it up and then the heater wouldn't work because it was plugged up.  They got it working.   We would give them a B because the heater has been an ongoing problem and we don't know how much is the fault of the heater and if it's not them figuring it out.  It cost less than $200 for all of the labor, like $150 or $160.  They could perhaps give more help in the area of diagnostics because it is an occurrence that has returned.  It was only one time they were delayed and the other times they were absolutely on time.  Oh yeah we would use them in the future.

I called Tuesday of Thanksgiving week, a very, very busy time.  Axselle promptly checked out my van and diagnosed that the power steering system was the problem.   They flushed out the soiled fluid, refilled, and provided a special additive to smooth the system's operation.  Result:  no more noises!  Fantastic service.   .

They are wonderful. They are everything - they are kind, they do what they say they're going to do and if it doesn't work, they go the extra mile. They are responsive, their work is really good and if the fix doesn't work they re-look at it and really try to solve what the problem is. They are kind too. They just really have got strong customer basis. I've seen him on a walk-in basis, I've seen him when my car's broken down, and I've seen him when I've had an appointment. They're really good.

One of the best thing about this shop is that they listen to the customer. I gave suggestions which the checked into and reported back on the progress. I did not feel like they thought I was a moron. I have some mechanical experience and the acknowledged that. I felt as if they care as much about me and my car as I did and they were not out to gouge me on cost.

We have taken our cars to Axselle's many times in the last couple of years, as we have older cars that have high mileage. Every time the work is done quickly and well. Cost is always below that of other competitors. Mr. Axselle is adept at finding ways to keep the cost down and is very forthright about what work needs to be done and what can wait.. Staff is courteous and helpful. We drive out of our way to take our cars to this shop. I'd give an A+ if I could.

The customer service was outstanding. Work was performed efficiently knowing that the vehicle was a service vehicle for my fleet. I had a complete blow out on the interstate. Very friendly atmosphere. The leather couch is a great place to take a nap! Outstanding service!

They were able to give a much lower price than the dealer. I like them because when they can they offer me a ride if had to leave my car for a day and they also will look the ways to keep the cost down so that they can find a used part or something. They always explain what needs to be done and will show what is going on if they can. I always felt that they had a lot of integrity and they also have a good reputation in the community.

I have been to Axselle Auto Service many times in the past 5 years, for service on my truck as well as service on my wife's Camry. On several of these occasions, Dave charged us a very minimal amount, and at least twice there was no charge at all. Extensive work has been done very reasonably, and on each of these occasions, Dave personally took time to explain in detail the work needed and performed. I have gotten to know most of Dave's staff by name, and they are all dedicated to a high degree of friendliness and customer service. Their knowledge, professionalism and honesty are unquestionable. Axselle Auto was founded by Dave's father, and handed down to his sons. The family has been a fixture in Lakeside for years, and is a well regarded community leader.
