Showed up at the scheduled time. Removed old timbers and gravel. Graded driveway and paved. Excellent teamwork (8 man crew) enabled them to complete job before lunch. Quality job. Would recommend and hire again.

This company is outstanding! I talked with Jay throughout the process. Also I talked with Brian during the work being preformed. I was given a written quote after walking the job with Jay. The price was better than I expected. After dealing with the weather, the work began. The crew arrived on time, went right to work and finished earlier than I anticipated. The communication was great and the end result was much better than I hoped for! There was much attention to detail and Jay's suggestions were spot on!!!! I would definitely recommend to others and would use again. Their work is remarkable!!! Thanks Jay and Brian!

They had come come highly recommended. Time to rethink that. We loved the salesman Jay Wood. He was friendly and easy to work with. He needs to find better employers! We had an estimate done months ago. Our elderly builder is a bit crotchety and wanted to be on site which irritated the company owner. They tacked on $1000 fee in order for him to be there.. We AGREED to that. Contracts updated and signed. Find out scheduling is mixed up. Spoke to the wife owner and asked her to correct date mix up with salesman. We then wait. And wait. And wait. It’s now 30 days later and apparently she did not care for the fact that I was irritated and she just arbitrarily canceled the job. Without notifying us!!! They tossed away a job worth over $10k and left us hanging with no communication. Petty and unprofessional.

Paved residential driveway

They arrived as scheduled and finished on time. They did exactly what they would do so I can back in my lowered car. They didn't leave a mess and the eye sore in front of my house is now beautiful to look at.

They did an excellent service, very professional in communicating and providing the service, they provided a written agreement, which I like and they are very responsible. I will recommend them to others.

Contacted Absolute Asphalt back in December 2018 as we neared completion of the construction of our new home. We got quotes from three contractors. Absolute was $2k less than one quote and $9k cheaper than the other. We had a pretty good size area we wanted paved at almost 5,000 sq/ft. With the abundance of positive reviews for Absolute Asphalt and a price far better than others, we committed and scheduled to have the driveway installed. Second wettest year on record didn't help with scheduling. Jay Wood kept in touch and made several trips to our Matoaca home to evaluate the conditions. Towards the end of April, things dried out and we had a firm date. They showed up on time with a crew of 10 workers. The owner, Brian Rodill, was onsite and engaged during the entire install. Four hours of non-stop work, my driveway was done. After several rains since, there is almost no standing water. The driveway looks absolutely wonderful. So nice to spend this much money and be totally satisfied.

I called the company due to Angie’s list top rating and they are no longer taking residential sealing jobs. The lady stated they are only sealing for driveways they installed prior.

They scheduled my driveway pavement during a rainy time. The ground was too wet to pave on the scheduled date but the company was very good about keeping me informed and were very responsive to my email questions. They did a great job.

Work was done professionally and in a timely manner. I would hire again.

Excellent. No complaints. Other estimates were higher and Brian was very good about communicating while we waited for the weather to cooperate. Showed up on time for estimate and paving job. Arrived with ALOT of heavy equipment and did the job quickly and cleanly. I wish all contractors were as professional. Driveway looks great.

They were very timely, clean and professional. This was the last part of a much larger project, and they were very flexible as, like with all projects, delays out of our control happened. Would highly recommend Absolute Asphalt!

Great Price and quality work!

Brian and crew arrived as scheduled about 4 weeks earlier. The work took two days to complete. I explained to Brian what I want and then went off to work. The work was completed exactly to my instructions. I plan to use them in 2018 to complete the balance of the paving of the long driveway on my farm.

Showed up for estimate on time, gave a lower than expected price, weather was good so they showed up on time to complete the job. Had to stay off the drive way for about 3 days. It's been a couple of weeks and everything still looks great. Have recommended to several people since.

I can see now why Brian and his crew receive 'A' ratings. I received 3 estimates from other companies and these guys gave me the best estimate PLUS they had the highest ratings out of all the others. Their executive assistant was in contact with me whenever I reached out to them which is hands down better than most other companies who would take a long time to get back to me or didn't even contact me at all. They arrived with their caravan of equipment and you could tell they are a professional crew of 6-7 guys that know exactly what they're doing and works well together and is efficient. They arrived at 7:40am and got done shortly before 10am which was amazingly efficient (not one single guy was standing around doing nothing - every worker had a task and were busy the entire time). They didn't skimp on anything or cut any corners from what I could tell and were just an efficient, curtious, and experienced crew. My new asphalt driveway looks perfectly smooth and the edges are nice and straight. They laid a couple inches of gravel, smoothed that out then put down the 3" of asphalt and then used what looked like a steamroller (I'm not sure of the exact name of the machine) to give it a perfectly smooth appearance. I couldn't be any happier with my new asphalt driveway and I would highly recommend using this company if you want it done right and want it done quick. I'll definitely be using them for my sealer in the spring. Beautiful job, Brian, Roxanne, and crew!

Discussed options for drainage and grading. Showed up on time, performed clean, exacting work. Removed any debris and even took out and hauled away old brick border. The drainage system has performed flawlessly! And, the new asphalt driveway makes it look like a new house. I can most highly recommend Absolute Asphalt for your paving needs!!!

Brian came out promptly as scheduled for estimate, and continuous scheduling follow up. Absolute Asphalt beat everyone else's quotes by a landslide. Was prompt and on schedule, Brian and crew performed the work in an amazing amount of time, were very professional and handled a couple small utilities issues immediately. I would definitely recommend Absolute Asphalt to anyone!

Absolute Asphalt did a great job. They were able to connect the new driveway to existing sidewalks with very clean edges. They sloped the tarmac to allow drainage. The final product looks great. We have referred them to other friends who have also used them and are happy with the job they did for them.
