ABF U-Pack

We had done a lot of research prior to selecting ABF U-Pack. Our move took place during a few weeks of bitter cold and fresh, deep snow. We lived outside of town and had a considerable driveway, which was difficult to maneuver with such a large trailer, but the ABF driver handled it beautifully. By contract, we had 3 business days to load the trailer, or be subject to additional charges; however, we had the trailer for a week and ABF waived the charges. ABF doesn't travel on weekends and holidays, and since our move occurred over two holidays (Christmas and New Years), and several weekends, it took 12 days to arrive in Richmond. However, this was to be expected, as 6 of those days were weekend or holiday.
Our items arrived with minimal damage. The few items that were damaged were due to our own inadequate packaging or loading method. It's a rough ride inside of a large metal box across 2,200 miles, and we just didn't anticipate how things would shift.
What was interesting was that ABF took a picture of the partitioned area within the trailer, for their protection as well as ours, as evidence that nothing was tampered with during the move.
ABF met their promised delivery/pickup/delivery dates. Their customer service was great. We never felt and quot;lostand quot; or in a state of wondering what to do next. They were responsive, polite and professional each time we called.
I recommend this company highly. We will be moving again (unfortunately) in a few years and will at least feel confident that we now know which moving company to call.

Great experience from the time the trailer was delivered to our home in VA to the new destination in Montana. The company delivered exactly when they said they would with no delays. When you lock the truck at the loading location, it is not opened again until it comes to your new destination. I was very pleased.
