"This member purchased our coupon for an air conditioning tune-up, with the coupon including up to 1 lbs. of free refrigerant. Prior to service, the member called and inquired whether we would be willing to use her refrigerant to add to the system, should it need more than the 1 free lbs. covered under the coupon. We stated that we would be willing to do so... Upon our arrival to the residence, we found that the system was not cooling due to a lack of refrigerant, and the refrigerant on-site was not the correct, or proper refrigerant... We declined to add the refrigerant that this member provided, as it is illegal (and improper) to mix refrigerants within a system. We did explain this while we were on site, and this member then agreed to pay us for additional refrigerant as necessary. We did our air conditioning tune up as required under the coupon, and the system was cooling well when we left. It is unfair to pretend that the service was pointless, or a waste of time."
