HE DID NOT DO THAT HE WAS PAID 15000 TO DO. HE TOOK THE MONEY AND DID NOT COMPLETE. .Overall, my wife contacted them and they came out and did examined the tree and surrounding area and provided us with a written quote on the day that we requested. We contacted another tree company to provide us a quote and they informed us that they would come out the next day and did not. When they did come out their quote was the same as B W's. We negotiated with B W and got the price that we were prepared to pay. We gave B W the date and time that we preferred and they showed up that time.  Within 3 hours the job was completed and the cleanup was satisfactory.

We contacted B & W Tree Experts from the Yellow Pages. They sent a representative who provided an estimate of $2300 to remove the tree including the stump. I believe this amount was very excessive and was taking advantage of an unfortunate situation. The insurance estimate was $1,150 based on 46 man hours at $25 per hour. The actually effort was less that 10 hours of effort on site ($250). This was not a large tree, about 35 ft. height and a trunk diameter of under 12 inches. It as also in an easy location to access located next to the driveway. Recent calls to other tree removal companies received rough estimates of under $500 for this size of tree. I believe the cost of this activity was well beyond better business principles and was taking advantage of an unfortunate situation.
