We wanted to update our 1990’s curved staircase railing.
Description of Work: Paul was excellent. He not only guided us with our options but also helped us pick out the materials from a catalog for the look we wanted to achieve. He left samples of balusters as well as the materials catalog to look thru. Paul made several trips to our home to solidify the design and material selections. He was excellent in working with our schedule around flooring and staining that were occurring at the same time. His price was extremely competitive and we are very happy with the results. We now have a staircase that looks like 2020

We are thrilled with our new railings. Paul did a fantastic job. Our split foyer house was built in 1967. Our old, ugly metal railings were original to the house. I found a a picture of a railing system I liked online with a craftsman style wood Newell post and railing, with dark metal balusters. Paul came out and did an estimate, and texted me several Newell post options, which he designed and built himself. Installation took one day. Paul and his son did the work. They were extremely professional and nice. They stained the Newell post and rail to match our hardwood floors perfectly. The raised and lengthened the railing so they would be up to code. We are thrilled with the result. I highly recommend them.

It looks fabulous! Well worth the wait! Very satisfied and would definitely use again. Paul is an outstanding craftsman. By the way, we were originally referred to Paul by the president of a stair company when we were having some installation issues at our former home.
Description of Work: Paul applied oak veneer over our old pine treads, and replaced our rails, newels and posts with matching white oak.

.Paul is a stair and rail EXPERT. He came to our house to plan and cost out our small project. He offered many choices for each aspect of the project and gave us valuable guidance to achieve the look we desired. He took a deposit for the cost of materials and the balance was due on the day of installation. He installed our project in 1 day. He had all the necessary tools. He cleaned up very nicely after the work was completed. Our new stair rails look just wonderful and we are very pleased. The new railings are removable - but not to worry - they are solid as a rock. Paul explained how to remove the railing, balusters and box post if needed for furniture moving, and said we could call him for help with that if needed. And he is just a really nice guy. Definitely recommend Paul.
Description of Work: Removed an old hand rail. Provided and installed 2 red oak hand rails, 13 balusters, and a white box post with a red oak pyramid top, along with a rosette and wall brackets. Stained the new handrails before installation.

He removed the carpet, opened up the bottom steps, built a supporting structure for each individual steps so they won't creak and installed new open and prefinished read oak treads and risers as well as a box newel and balusters. We are VERY pleased with the work he has done. He started and finished the work in the time we had agreed on. And when he left we could not even tell he had worked inside and outside of the house. Everything was tidy and clean. All in all he was very professional. It was a pleasure to work with him because he takes pride in his work and obviously wants his customers to be pleased as well.

Dealing with Paul was a pleasure from the first contact to the final handshake. He really went the extra mile to make sure that everything was done right, right down to driving the materials to the stainer (the same one that did the flooring) to make sure that it matched. When the flooring people didn't come through, Paul stepped in to get the job done. He showed up on time and was done quicker than anticipated. The end result looks fantastic. I could not be more pleased and would rate him an A+ if I could. Highly recommend.

Paul did a great job on the project. He was easy to work with and provide lots of choices and ideas for our project. His pricing was very fair. He even worked on Sunday to get our job completed, which was very much appreciated. The transformation of our stairs is remarkable and we really love the outcome. Highly recommend him for his knowledge, work and easy demeanor.

I received a prompt response to my request for an estimate. I sent a picture of the stairs and we discussed on the phone style and quality options. Work was completed about a week later. Great results.

Everything went wonderfully. We are so pleased with the work and Paul was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this company. He customized the stair rails and has a definite creative eye for what will work. Plus he helped us to avoid some costly mistakes in our original design. His son joined him for two of the days and he had additional help on the other days. I was home for part of the work and I was so impressed with the respectful and kind way he supported his workforce. To me this speaks volumes about character. So pleased that I found this company on Angie's List.

When we shopped around, Paul had the best rate. We selected what we thought we wanted, and he came by another day to check out the work site. I'm glad he did, because he brought the sample we selected for the hand railing, and then got out another he thought we might like based on the general theme he saw in our home. He was dead on. Paul came out himself to do the work and I was really amazed at how efficiently he worked. Normally I'd figure something like this to last 8 hours, but he had the whole thing done in 6 or less. Aside from doing a great job and tending to little issues that popped up (addressing the hardwood floor where the old post was to match the stain), he's a genuinely decent person. I'm really not a people person, so that's saying a lot. Long story short, good work, good price, and good people.

Requested an estimate for replacing our metal banisters with wood ones. He was prompt, professional, and friendly. Price was similar to other companies' estimates. Ultimately we changed our minds on the replacement altogether and did not go through with the project.

it went great-did not have to wait for the contractors. Everything was done without waiting periods in between.
Description of Work: A previous contractor had ruined our stairs, when they installed the wooden floors in our house. Our steps were shortened and from below it looked like a child had done this. Hard to find someone who has the expertise to rebuilt/replace the stairs. We got 3 estimates and Paul Giordano's company came out the winner. He gave us the estimates and 2 weeks later he came to do the job.The stairs were built anew and after they were installed, he installed the beautiful bannisters. Now everything is back up to code, we can block off the stairwell with the babygates again. The stain for the stairs was expertly matched to our existing wooden floors.
