We contracted The Hine Group to build a custom home that had features that required detail to workmanship. Based on their portfolio and their word, we engage them to build our home. However, the project was poorly supervised, had many unexplained deplays which cost us dearly, secured subcontractors that provided poor and unadequate work. Had the project been better supervised, the quality of the work could have been easily remedied. Once in the home, we began finding shortcuts in installation, ghastly drywall and painting work, and began questioning many more aspects of the job. The Hine Group abondoned the project before it was completed. At that time, we closely scrutenized the invoices and realized there were things that sudcontractors had agreed to do, but did not,. We were billed for materials that we never received nor did we receive credit for unused materials. Attempts to remedy the situation has been made with promises but nothing else.
