I contacted him via his listed contact info and requested an estimate on building a door from my kitchen to the back yard. He was very hesitant to help me, despite being listed as a home contractor, and, after arranging a window of several hours he never showed up!

I generally ask potential clients to email me with a few dates and times that work for them and we agree on a specific time and date to meet and discuss, not a window of time. In the 25 years we have been in business in Harrisonburg and the thousands of people we have met with over the years, I believe we could count on one hand the number of appointments we have missed and we have always followed up. Unfortunately, I believe [member name removed] may have us confused with another contractor and I would invite him to call us to discuss his concerns."

I was very happy with the entire experience, and would DEFINITELY recommend Herr & Co.for all your building and construction needs.  I was so impressed with Jim and Mike - they both went out of their way to make the job run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, under almost impossible time constraints.  Talk about grace under pressure!
