American Plumbing Heating Cooling Inc

As you can see from my ratings of this company and the description of their services that I was not too happy with American PHC!  I had originally told Steve that I would recommend his company to my friends.  I actually did so before I called them for plumbing.  I have since told all my friends about my experience with American PHC and warned them about my experience.  I think American PHC is a company trying to get off the ground and I don't think they'll do it.  After they left my home for the second time and I came home to a leaking toilet, I made two trips to Lowes and fixed the problem myself.  Too bad!

My heat pump had stopped working. I called four different local contractors including American PHC. All of them came out and checked the system. Three of them told me I needed to replace the heat pump. One said I also needed a new furnace. Prices ranged from $4000 to $8000. Chris at American came out and did a carefull examination. He found that several registers had been closed off during the winter and that was causing the unit to freeze up. Simply opening up the registers corrected the problem. He suggested that I install a fan control unit to allow more flexability in closing off a few of the registers and to help prevent future freeze ups. The price of the fan control and installation was less than $320. I was very happy that Chris was more interested in solving the problem than simply selling me something I didn't need. I highly recommend him and his company to anyone needed professional and honest service.
