Our carpet is around 20 years old.  We have maintained it with a personal carpet shampooer, but it is old.  We were considering replacing the carpet, but thought we would see what a professional cleaning could do.
What a difference!
Stanley Steemer came out on a Saturday, moved and cleaned under all the furniture, put the furniture back, treated one room for pet odor, and shampooed my dining room chairs.  I was very impressed, and will definitely use them again in the future.

The service and cleaning was great. The cleaners were thorough, friendly and well-versed.
However, there is a big disconnect between what I was told on the 800 number and the actual services. The 800 number said they would vacuum. They didn't. The 800 number said they would spot treat. They didn't. And they ended up charging me extra for the staircase and for the walk-in closet. The 800 number said they would lift *all* furniture and put it on foam blocks to make sure it wasn't damaged. They didn't - they just worked around the dining room table and hutch, which could have been bad, given that the pieces are solid oak. I ended up moving a whole lot of stuff that didn't need to be moved because they didn't lift all the pieces.
The end results were good, but I had done the vacuuming myself. And thankfully I had pre-treated the worst of the spots myself a few weeks before, and they all came up.
I would recommend that after talking to the 800 number you talk to the local people and get the real scoop about what they will and won't do. It will save a lot of effort.

Team was very punctual and friendly. Service provided was quick and professional. We had already moved all objects but understood that the team would move furniture as necessary. Don't expect to put everything back in place right away because the carpet will definitely be damp.

For the most part they were okay but they always try to sell me extra stuff. They were on time, courteous and kind. They kept trying to up sell me several things that I didn't need.

They were outstanding and meticulous. You can never go wrong with this company.

Person who answered the office phone was not entirely clear about the prices. After I told her the size of my rooms and what I wanted cleaned, I received an email price quote; I was surprised that the quote included an additional fuel charge. Also, was not told that there was a minimum charge for cleaning an area rug, no matter how small it was, until the cleaning crew arrived. I had been told that the price for cleaning an area carpet was based on the square feet.
Cleaning crew arrived promptly and were courteous. However, based on other customer reviews, I anticipated wonderful results for some stained areas of my carpet after years of use in my den. Regrettable, the stains remained after cleaning, so I didn't see much difference after the cleaning. I was surprised that the men didn't spend more time on the stained areas... basically just giving one pass of the steam cleaner.
In addition, the crew leader seemed eager to upsell me on other services, e.g., stain guard for the carpet and other upholstery, cleaning for my hardwood floors, and new exterior doormats.

It was great. The carpet looked great and so did the sofa

main problem I had were the price jumps. I needed someone out on very short notice which they did. Then proceeded to jump the price almost 100.00. I would have waited the extra day for my normal cleaner if I had known the price. Otherwise they were great.

They did a great job on everything. Originally hadn't planned on the chairs and barstools but soooo glad we did. Everything was superb!!

Crew arrived on time and were very professional. They cleaned a bedroom, hall and stairs. Bedroom carpet had many stains and was well worn. Crew did an excellent job. Bedroom carpet had many stubborn stains on which they made a lot of extra effort. Overall result for all carpets was better than I had hoped. They also cleaned my favorite recliner and it looks nearly new again.
We will definitely be using these Stanley Steemer again.

Stanley Steemer is a very good company and they do a good job.

The finished product looks great. I would hire them again to clean and polish our hardwood floors and our tile floors. (and the carpet or furniture)

Two men Walter and Jon arrived promptly and I showed them the rooms to be cleaned. My carpet is 10 years old and had dog urine stains and was stained from use. They cleaned a total of 5 areas and put foam pieces under the furniture to lift it up and allow the carpet to not get stained by the furniture color. They were fast, friendly, and efficient and my floor looks 100% better. I have used this company in the past and was always please. The carpet was dry within a day and they said it dries quicker in cold weather. I used a groupon so nomally my cost would have been 230 instead of the 120 I paid.
