POPE'S HOME IMPROVEMENT

This review is about a year after work was completed. Job was lay new flooring downstairs, install handles on kitchen cabinets, paint interior of downstairs, renovate kitchen. Overall Mike is very accommodating. But he juggles jobs which causes some inattention to his work. Cabinet handles are crooked and can’t be fixed without leaving holes. Paint dripped throughout work areas and on appliances, baseboards etc. Master bath trim looks awful. Was supposed to install new power sockets but didn’t. Did not repair things on punch list. As stated, he’s a hard worker but juggling jobs is not his forte. I recommend him but you have to stay on him. Get everything in writing. Pay 2/3 up front and remaining after you’re satisfied 100%

Excellent service. They update all the time. Moreover, they also provide receipts with everything they do. I would highly recommend them.

Mr. Pope service was outstanding. He went above and beyond in helping to repair and restore our water service. Mr. Pope work was seamless all while working with Newport News Waterworks to ensure our service was thoroughly repaired. Excellent.  I called Mr. Pope at 9pm on a Saturday night about my hot water heater and he returned my call within 15mins.  I told that the water heater was leaking around the top seam (not around the pipe connections), the bottom around the seam and at the element covers.  I told him the water heater was very old and needed to be replaced.  He told me that if I could purchase the water heater on the next day, Sunday, let him know and he would pick it up and install on Sunday. He picked up the water heater the next day, Sunday, and installed the same day.  Mr. Pope has provided plumbing services for my home several times and I am always pleased with his work.  He is very reliable and honest.  If you ask him a question, he explains what he is doing and why.  He does not elevate the charges for unnecessary work, and explains why it is not needed.

Michael always does a great job. The only issue I could say I have with him is that he does not always return your calls the same day. His work is exceptional and I would definitely call him again for any plumbing work that I need taken care of.
