On October 1, 2012 we looked at the apartment while the previous tenant was still residing in it. We decided we would take it and on 10/13/2012 we did a walk through with Lavonne and we pointed out over 30 things that needed to be done. Some projects were as simple as missing towel racks, no toilet tissue holder and missing handles on the cabinets. Also, our living room ceiling is dipping in; we have a bucket in our washroom to catch the leaking water coming from the ceiling and there is casing missing in the door way leading into the tub and the door leading into the hallway. They finally took care of the handles of the cabinets, but made a big deal about it. It is now March and nothing else has been done on their part, it has been excuse after excuse with them. I’ve complained about the concrete not being leveled off so they invited me to the carpet store to pick out a style for the layout. The carpet I chose they said they could not install and they decided to go with something else. They did a poor job installing the brand new carpet as there are patches of carpet all throughout the apartment some and it looks unfinished. the carpet is two toned and two different patterns. My husband and I have since noticed that when Lavonne signed our lease it was supposed to be a 2yr. contract and she wrote down the end of term being October 15, 2013 only 1yr. Her signatures on the documents do not match as she signed with two names; Lavonne Newman and Lavonne Bennett. We are very unhappy with the way they treat their tenants and feel they should be making more of an effort to resolve these issues as we paid rent from October to February and gave a two month security deposit, we just ask for our landlord to respond to our needs in a professional manner. As of now we would not recommend them to anyone. as it is the end of march and still the roof leaks . the list from the walk through in october of last year is still incomplete.
