MCKEEL'S CUSTOM PAINTING

We had Mr. McKeel remove the old caulking from around the outside of the windows and put Great Stuff around them and put new caulking around the windows. He didn't get all of the old caulking out before putting the new caulking on and it is bumpy and the caulking looks sloppy. We also asked him to repair a wall crack, some nail pops and some areas where the drywall tape was showing on our interior ceilings. He was then to paint the ceilings in those rooms, as well as the walls and ceiling in our great room. He didn't pound the nail heads in before he painted and we had to have him go back and do it, which incurred more sanding and painting. He also did a sloppy job on the drywall tape areas and we had to ask him to go back and redo that. Again, more sanding and repainting. My husband ended up repairing the wall crack himself after he saw that the workmanship on the other repairs and caulking was not up to his standards. Mr. McKeel's actual painting was good, but the amount of time it took for him to go back and keep redoing what should have been done in the first place kept the house torn up and dirty longer than it should have. He also got a bad attitude about it a couple of times and I nearly fired him. In the end everything looked fairly good, but I would not put myself through that again.
