I asked him if it would cost more if I needed extra wood work. I was told it would only cost for the materials, not for the labor. On the first day, he asked for an advance. On the second day he asked me for another advance in payment. Then, at the end of the project, there was quite a bit of material left over that I allowed him to keep. I found out, when the work was complete and I had made the final payment, that he had tacked on another fee for wood work labor. I actually assisted with clean up and other misc duties during the project. He also used my electricity to power the construction and I allowed the workers to use my facilities.
