The pets had over the years chewed an amount of wood trim and scratched door casings - never used beef flavored wood in constructing a home. Causey made a series of trim repairs and laid new carpet on the stairs. Done in one day with excellent cosmetic results. Their wood working and painters pay attention to detail. Fast, efficient crew. Met all time lines, cleaned up after themselves, very professional; appearance top all work. Have used them in the past and never been disappointed.

When we were asking for an estimate, they talked us out of a couple options that would have added to the cost, but would not have been worth it. Their price was about half of the next closest estimate. The final product is great. The new slab is constructed so that water runs away from the house (the old slab had sunk and formed a swimming pool whenever it rained). There were a couple of delays due to rain, but when they were able to come out, the job was finished as estimated. Excellent.

I had asked at least six companies to provide estimates for installing new gutters on my 2-story home. Only 3 of the 6 ever responded with an appointment for an estimate. Causey Contracting had the best price and didn't try to confuse me with a smoke and mirrors sales presentation. Dan Taylor was a pleasure to work with. After installation, the yard was spotless and you would have never known they were there. I requested a couple of changes and they were made, no questions asked, promptly. Very happy with this experience.

We used this company a few years ago and were happy with their work. However, our recent experience did not go as well. We had to call a few times to get someone out for an estimate, and then when we did get the estimate, our request for the repair and further information was never answered. It is our experience that this is fairly common with all sorts of home repair or contracting; the ones who do good work often seem too busy to deal with small jobs or communication. This is a shame as it wastes everyone's time.

It took several weeks for a representative from Causey Contracting to call me to set up a time for our initial meeting. It was several weeks after that before he finally came to meet me. The company representative was on time for that meeting, asked good questions and had interesting suggestions. He said he would have an estimate for me in a week or two. The company was at least a week later than that in getting the proposal to me. The proposal was interesting, although not what I had in mind - my husband and I envisioned wooden screens but the builder proposed modular plastic screens. The cost of the builder's modular screens was much more than we anticipated and I asked if the Causey representative could give us an estimate using regular wooden screens. The representative promised he would get back with us with the changes in a week or two but never did. We are now having the work done by another contractor from Angie's List and we couldn't be happier. Although this contractor may be good, I had to wait too long for our initial telephone contact and to have the initial face-to-face meeting. We got the initial proposal later than promised and, when I asked if I could get an estimate with the screen changes, I was told yes but never heard from the company again. Meanwhile, I was meeting with other contractors in order to decide who to give the job to. I ended up giving the job to ODI because Will was on time for all our meetings, was prepared, well organized, confident and personable. We couldn't be happier with the way the project is going.

We were actually impressed with their presentation. Their quote was the one of the most professional quotes that we got. We had some family problems during that time and that was the reason why we didn't go ahead with the project but we are thinking to call them back as we were very impressed with their way of presentation and the information that they gave was very professional. They were very responsive.

They did very well. It was something that I designed myself and they were able to implement it taking into consideration what I really wanted to achieve with the project.

Very well. The Hardy representative came from Roanoke and graded the installation as 100% correct. The previous grade was 17% !

He was very down to earth, and when we get the work done we will use this company. He was very professional in answering all of our questions. He was very knowledgeable, and friendly. He called us to inform that would be a few minutes late and we appreciated this and it turned out not to be a big deal. We have some neighbors who have used this company and we are impressed with seeing his work and work ethic.

The target time for completion of the bathrooms was around a month. They were completely finished and gone by then. Every aspect of the bathrooms was totally perfect and we were very appreciative of the job they did. The price was a little higher than others, but we had heard of them and felt they would do a good job. For the quality of work done, the price was still very fair in our eyes.
