Appliance Repair
Our AMANA Freezer/refrigerator us under an extended warranty service from the MAYTAG CO. The warranty provider is allbrands service. The unit has developed within the last four months an intermittent defrost/thaw problem. We place a request for service at the number provided. Two days later you get an appointment sometime during a window. The service person shows up and since the unit has recycled/reset itself it is working again. No attempt is/has been made to replace any of the controls for the unit in order to fix the problem. This company has no emergency refrigeration service. If you don't catch the thaw in time you lose all the contents of the freezer and the refrigerator. Any spoilage of food will not be re-imbursed, unless you can prove the dollar value. This problem has been ongoing for almost two months now. The last thaw cycle was Saturday December 16, 2006. Monday, December 18, 2006 a service call was scheduled for Wednesday, December 20, 2006.
