Wow - what profressionals. We could set our watch each morning with Cobal starting work at 9am, and they worked hard through the day until the sun set. When we had a run of rainy days, Manuel showed up on Saturday (twice, actually) to keep the job on schedule. He had to hire another group to install the iron-pipe bannister on the big staircase. We thought their work was OK, but Manuel was not satisfied and made them come back and lower it a few inches for a more natural hand grip. When it was finished, we realized Manuel had been right. Not only did Manuel and his son keep our property very clean (too often we find fast-food trash hidden behind bushes by other workers), at the end of the project they took the time to bring soil and grass seed plus straw mulch to backfill where our new porch meets the lawn. That was an unexpected gift. Altogether, this was a 100% satisfactory collaboration. You will count yourself very lucky if you experience Cobal!
Description of Work: Manuel Fernandes first caught our eye when he did the brickwork for our new garage as a subcontractor. He not only matched the new brick to the existing house brick very well, he followed the design of the existing courses perfectly. He was the bright spot in an otherwise tedious project. So a year later we hired him directly to jackhammer the existing concrete front porch. He replaced with stone and installed new wood-spindle columns, buidling them 1/3 the way up with stone for a "craftsman" look. Additionally he placed around 60 feet of stone path. Then he built a big composite-stone retaining wall and staircase from the street to our house level. He works with his son, who is also pleasant and hard-working.
