Economy Propane

I called this company in June for a repair they scheduled the repair for August 2, 2011. The repairman came after all day to "check" the problem and said a part would have to be ordered. After weeks of waiting for the part to come in on Aug 31, 2011 he finally showed up with the part. During the repair I could smell gas strongly in my home and questioned it and was told it was "normal" to smell it and it would dissolve into the air. He left immediately upon repairing the part and did not put any of the larger pieces back into the oven, after I asked if it could remain out for me to clean behind, which did not include him putting it back together. For three days I have smelled gas strongly but was reassured as the repairman left it was "normal". This morning, Sept. 3, 2011, I tried to use the stove to cook food for my family and had no gas it has all leaked out. I checked my tank and there is no gas in the tank, 40% was in there at the start of this repair and more than a small or "normal" amount leaked out and into my home for me and my children to breath for 3 days. I immediately called the emergency number for someone to help fix this issue and was told by the operator someone would call. They called about 10 minutes later and said it was not an emergency, that he could not say or accept responsibility for the loss of gas or the faulty repair. That we could pay $150 for a service call(non-emergency service call) and the cost of the propane they would bring to last. With a leak it wont last, they would set up a date when they would be in this area next week for $96 to see what the issue was because they were not at fault. The stove top was working fine before this repair which cost me $168.25 to put a new part on the oven(the initial repair was for the oven), the repairman clearly knows he leaked gas into my home because several times I commented on it and this company refuses to be responsible for the dangerous mistake he made. Now after dealing with this company which I have had for 15+ years and loads of issues, when I have an emergency caused by a repairman, they refuse to help me and create a loss of hundreds for something that should've never happened. They were uncaring and irresponsible for something that was not an issue before this man repaired an oven part and has left me without a means of cooking for Labor Day weekend, not to mention the smell of gas that he himself commented over. The man I was connected with for the emergency call basically laughed over the situation, for a company I have dealt with for 15+ years, I feel the manner in which they make money for faulty repairs as well as leaking gas( to be able to charge for more) inside my home for my family to breath is unacceptable. If you value your life and well being and overall safety you will avoid this company. They took advantage of the trust I gave them when I needed when I called for their help, after their repairman created the situation.
