My wife saw the oil light come on her car and instead of stopping the car she drove it home! There we found oil all over the driveway. We had it towed to Jeffs who was concerned that the block may have sustained damage. He pulled the oil pan to check for any indication of cylinder/block damamge but found none. He did find that the gasket between the filter and the pump had blown (common) He fixed it then checked for any other potential issues. There was none.
We have used Jeff for years and would HIGHLY recommend him for autoservice. He specializes on VWs.
One example of his honesty. We had a switch go out in the dash (rear defroster). He pulled it out and left the wire hanging. He said he could order the part for $90 and charge labor to install it... but we could go to ebay and get the part for $5 and do it ourselves. He didn't charge us a penny!!! ($8 part with s/h!)
