We originally paid half of the contract before work started on the day the contract was signed. He continually requested more money which we paid part of ($1200 more). After even more requests for money, he said he needed more paint but we refused to pay until the work was completed. He would scrape only half of an area, paint that and then leave the rest for later. He jumped all over the place, so we really didn't know if he had painted three coats all over. He painted the oak threshold even though it wasn't supposed to be painted. He dribbled paint onto the front porch bricks and the back porch wooden floor. He got paint on the screen of the screen door. He got paint on the door handles of the storm door which he didn't clean up. He didn't clean up any of the drips and tried to tell us they had been there prior to his start of work, but they hadn't, and you can see where he tried to wipe some paint up and smeared it. He was paid in full when the painting was finished, but we'd never recommend him because he was unprofessional and made a mess. He also does not have a Virginia Contractor's license.
