Alex Buquor

We used Alex Buquor to paint the inside of our new construction home. He talked a good game, but was the absolute sloppiest painter we’ve ever hired. Also, instead of painting 2 coats on the ceiling and walls, he stretched the 1 gallon of paint as far as it could go. He even told us, if I calculated 6 cans of paint, I’ll buy 5 and see how far it will go. When asked about the obvious missed areas, he said “oh I’ll get them later”. Same for all the paint he slopped all over our moulding, doors and ceilings. I spoke to the manager of the McCormick paint store in Newport News and she said she’d come by to look at the mess. She never confirmed a time to do that. We also found out Alex was a new contractor with McCormick and we were his Guinea pigs. We haven’t even moved into our new home and he ruined our stainless steel kitchen sink with scratches from cans and rinsing the brushes out without cleaning up. He got paint all over our new bathroom fixtures, bathtub and granite countertops too. We now have to hire another painter to fix all of Alex’s mess and repaint our home correctly. 1 star is WAY too generous to give this guy…I’d give him maybe 1/2 star if pressed.
