The veterinarians there are excellent. The doctor gave me a special price if I would bring them in only on Tuesday mornings. They are all good. The charges are very reasonable. Dr. Ellie is my favorite.

I have been with that vet who founded that organization for 26 years. We have been with Shady Grove for 20 years. She was with another place, then branched out on her own and started Shady Grove. 

We are dealing with one vet who is part owner of the place. The degree of interaction she takes with the pets and any crises that comes up, she?s there, whether you have to call her at home. The service level there is just extraordinary. The place is great.

We suspected something initially because she was drinking a lot of water and had the symptoms. We discussed it with the vet who saw us that day, and got us started on the testing. She did some tests on her that came back a few days later. Once the tests came back, we went and got the insulin shots the same day. Everything worked out very well. Since we caught it early, she was able to get off that and get back on a specialized diet and off the insulin.

It was the quick reaction that really saved her from being a diabetic with insulin.

They are phenomenal. I probably spend $50 a month on her supplies. We do a little bit more than a standard visit because we do blood work. So it's a little more expensive. So I just want to be sensitive to that so that people don't think, "Oh my gosh if I go there for a basic appointment it's going to be $100." If we go for blood work and a regular appointment combined then it's usually in the $100 range, $100 -$120.

I like that it is close by and they are great with the animals.

I have been very pleased with Shady Grove Animal Clinic so far. We recently moved and turned to Angie's list for a good new vet. We have seen Dr. Lucas for a problem with our cat and have found the experience to be a good one. All of the staff members have been warm and friendly and seem dedicated to caring for animals. Dr. Lucas has been down-to-earth and great at thinking through problems, staying in touch, and hearing my concerns. Plan to keep using and would recommend to others!

I've been a client of Shady Grove for several years. I use their services for our dog and cat. The entire office staff has been great. The folks working the desk are always pleasant whether in person or on the phone. The technicians are wonderful working with our Berner. And, Dr. DeBell is outstanding to work with. I really appreciate his willingness to explain a situation, listen to my input, and respond to my questions. Although, I know he is busy and fatigued at day's end, I've never felt rushed or that he wasn't taking adequate time with his patient. His advice has been valuable and I appreciate his conservative approach to treatment.

I do like them. I think the veterinarians have been very professional. I think they have taken good care of my animals. They have been nice to work with. On price, I don't know how they compare to other veterinarians. One of the reasons I use them is because they are very close to the house and with my elderly sick animals I really have them somewhere that was close.

Dr Elliott and her co-workers are exceptional vets. While I prefer to see Dr. Elliott when I make an appointment because of our long standing history of pet care, I am just as comfortable seeing one of the other vets at the clinic. The staff is friendly both in person and over the telephone. Everyone is loving toward my animals and they constantly make me feel like my animals are their only patients. A wonderful team of professionals.

We like them a lot. The regular office visit costs around $60 and for the other blood tests and so forth they charge something else.

This visit was my first to Shady Grove Animal Clinic. It was recommended to me by my sister-in-law and I also found other positive reviews when I checked Angie's List. I found the vet techs very cat-friendly, making this first visit less stressful for my kitty. Dr. Garland was very friendly and professional. She took time to introduce herslf and the clinic to me, to explain what was going to happen with the shots and chip, and answer any other questions I had.

Overall, the experience has been good. They have three excellent vets, who are very professional, caring, and will take the time to explain things to you.

Shady Grove is an excellent veterinarian clinic. Lori Elliott has been our vet for years, and we love her. If you're looking for a vet that truly cares about your pets, Lori is the one for you. Without exception, every person who works there is professional, and kind. Their care is outstanding.

We have used this veterinarian clinic for more than ten years. They have always provided a high level of professional services and with great personal attention to our two current dogs as well as end-of-life care for a previous pet.

The administrative staff is always pleasant to work with and responsive to call-in requests (i.e., for prescription renewals or for contacting one of the vets).

Services and medicines have always been reasonably priced and in line with their estimates, so there are no surprises. The facilities are very clean and well maintained, appointments are always kept on time and, should the primary care vet be unavailable for any reason, there are several professionals in place to make sure that you are seen (though it would be rare for the primary vet not to be there).

All of the vets are licensed and board certified and take great care in working with animals. Some surgical procedures and lab testing are also performed at this location, and prescription medications and special diet foods may be dispensed.

We have never had any concern for leaving our pets in the hands of these doctors.

Excellent. Staff was welcoming and even helped me carry the cats and bag of food out to car afterwards. Vet James DeBell was very nice. After moving to the area last August, I chose this vet because they agreed to sell me the special diet food one of the cats required if I provided my cat's records from the previous vet. Another vet would not sell me the food unless I made an office appt for the cat, which meant taking off from work which was not practical at the time, not to mention an added expense since I'd still have to pay for another visit when they needed their annual boosters. Shady Grove also provided a welcome package, with information about an emergency clinic in addition to information about their practice, rabies shots, a fireman's sticker for the window and a canned food lid. I have been to many vets, including one in Japan, but I give this vet my highest rating.

The veterinarian, Dr. Laurie Elliot is very knowledgeable and is very good with the animals. They are also great with the owners and are patient as they took the time to sit and explain everything to me. I have been using this clinic for many years and have always had positive experiences.

The vet I like to see is Lori Slliot. She is excellent. I think they have 3 different veterinarians working there. They are always easy to get an appointment with and they are located 5 minutes away from my home. The medicine that they gave me for the infection worked perfectly.
