Like most of other reviewers have mentioned, they are the most honest, reasonably priced and punctual when it comes to Toyota car repair. They won't sell you anything your car don't need.

A++ Service and Repairs. This shop is fair priced, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. They will not repair something or try to sell you on repairs if your vehicle doesn't need it. I have been taking my Toyota to them for years. By far the best shop in the Richmond area to take your Toyota or Lexus!!

I have a 2009 Toyota Avalon. My first visit to Richmond Import Service was on August 27, 2013 for a routine state inspection. They have serviced my car exclusively since that date.
I have probably owned at least ten cars over my lifespan. I am a very demanding auto owner. I expect who is servicing my car to be held to a very high standard - I expect total honesty and great service at reasonable prices. I can say without hesitation that Richmond Import Service meets that standard in spades. In addition, Chris Germain, the owner (who services my car) and Marty Blankenship (Manager) always take the time to explain everything in detail, including exactly what they will be doing and why. 
If I can avoid it, I do not have my car serviced by a Toyota dealer. I find dealer prices for service are usually very expensive. 
Prior to finding Richmond Import Service, I had this car serviced by two other Independent Toyota repair shops in Richmond, Virginia. Then I discovered neither could be trusted. The first place advised me to have work done that a dealer advised me that they routinely do not do in that the work is unnecessary. The next place tried to charge me twice for the same work - They charged me for checking my brakes when this was already included in the state inspection performed on the same visit. 
My experience with Richmond Import Service has been just the opposite. On one particular repair for mechanical problems due to an accident, Richmond Import Service found a way to save me quite a bit of money. My total bill was $616.94 when it could have been a lot more. 
In summary, I highly recommend Richmond Import Service. They treat a customer as you want to be treated - excellent work, fair prices and could not be nicer.

Checked the source of an oil leak and changed a gasket-it took longer than most jobs to (I usually wait) but they worked hard to get it done-even staying after closing time so I could get it and go!

They are prompt and their prices are very reasonable.

I had been planning to do my 90k mile servicing for some time now.I had enquired about quotes from mutiple service centers and every where the quote was around 1400 $. I got this one from internet and then checked in Angie's list for reviews. Not many reviews but who ever had reviewed gave the best for these guys. I went to their service center and asked for a quote. They said we dont think its going to be beyond 650 $. I was apprehensive but went ahead and gave my car expecting that the final bill would come much more. I got a call in the evening saying my car is ready . I went back to pick up the car and asked them the final bill, and they said it was 640 $. I was happy as well as surprised. Out of curiosity I asked him why is it so less while others quote so high. He gave me an honest answer and quot; We are a small shop with a fixed target every month. We are good at what we do. We dont want to do something which is not neededand charge extra to our customers. We have our loyal customers and we meet our targetand quot;. Not only did i save half the amount but they did an oil change and other minor repairs like replacing few busted bulbs free of charge.I revisited them two days after for fixing my license plate in the front bumper since my last state had only one license plate and to my surprise they did it for free for me .As long as I am in Richmond I am never going to look out for another shop for my car. Absolutely recommend these guys for any toyota or lexus service

Excellent service. Repaired motor, brakes, floorboards and heater/ac system: replaced interiors (seats, dashboard, carpet, headliner, etc); repair/replaced car body (hood, side panels, etc.) as necessary and coordinated new paint job.

I have taken my vehicles to Richmond Imports for several years. They are the best. Integrity and quality. Price is always reasonable for work performed.

Have used this mechanic a couple of times and have always be satisfied with their services. Easy to setup appointments and can always get you in the next day. Staff professional and easy to talk with. Will continue using them in the future and would recommend to friends and family.

These guys are the absolute in the COUNTRY in terms of knowledge, experience, communication, price, and honesty. Took my Lexus for inspection, and when dropping the car off, it was obvious that they know every nuance about every Lexus model regarding mechanical flaws, etc. They are very honest about offering options (cheap vs expensive) and they let the customer choose which option they want to pursue. They have also previously had my car for 2 days and could not duplicate the problem that I had presented with, so they didn't charge me a dime. I love this shop and would highly recommend, even if you have to come from out of town.

Recently I brought my older Corolla in, and he went over it, adjusted the ignition timing, tightened a bunch of suspension bolts, and basically told me what will needed in the future and the order of importance with respect to safety and expense. He (Chris, the head guy) spent probably two hours total going over, working on, and then showing me all about what he'd found, and then only charged me $83. To put that in perspective, I've spent almost $3000 for service on my BMW in one year at the dealer(!), and yet here's a guy who's factory-trained, willing to give me twice what I paid for to keep my business. That should be rewarded.
