They are friendly and reliable and our dog always seems in good spirits when we pick him up. We always get the bath and he is fresh and clean for his ride home.

Staff was great. Did a great job grooming our little girl. She looked great and we thought the price was very reasonable. She has always been groomed by the same person and we moved. Therefore, we needed a new groomer. We were more than pleased.

We went to them because of their proximity to our home. They have good professionalism and clean facility.

We love Holiday Barn!  Our puppy has been going to the GLen Allen location since she was about five months old, and we will continue working with them.  We have tried most all services - boarding, bathing/grooming, training, and camp.  They do it right - the staff seems to genuinely enjoy what they do, Melanie Benware is the best in terms of training, and our puppy loves seeing her friends at camp!

Have kept dogs here many times and feel confident with the care. They have a variety of services and the place is clean and has a choice of lodgings and amenities. They let our two dogs stay in the same room so they can keep each other company and reduce their stress. Of course it is not 2 for 1 on the price. The cost is competitive but not the cheapest option, but we like this place and will use it again.

When my daughter went to pick her up after twelve days she was sick with fever and an abscess ruptured on her side spurting pus out. Her "report card" about the Kitty cuddles for that day indicated she "loved her massage" etc. when in fact she was in such pain she could hardly be touched. She was taken to my daughter's vet and found to have had either a bite or claw injury producing the abscess with bruising. She had to have been in contact with another animal outside of her "condo". They finally agreed to pay the veterinary bill but insisted they owed me nothing in return for her care while there. (I had prepaid with a credit card ).The Veterinarian said the cat had been injured several days for this to occur and yet no one had noticed or reported it. She was hospitalized and given treatment for 24 hours. She had to have been in pain for days for the abscess to be ready to rupture.

Everything went very well. They have staff who are on the premises overnight and they also answer the phone if you want to check on your pet (which I did). They offer a variety of 'rooms' for dogs and will accommodate special instructions, such as feeding and treats instructions. Very happy with them.

This is a great kennel. We have two dogs so our cost is higher than the average. The dogs are together at their home away from home. They always come back happy!

We have been sending our dog Maxie there since she was a puppy. She had extensive training with Melanie who is a fantastic dog whisperer. What amazes us the most is how happy Maxie is when we get there. She jumps out of the car and runs to the reception area. The girls know all the dogs by name and the facility is always spotless. For Maxie the Holiday Barn is a home away from home

My dog Hailey loves Holiday Barn. She is well cared for and the team is great. She was also trained by Melanie which went well. I have also had her groomed there as well. I highly recommend Holiday Barn.

I used them all the time. I paid close to $300 for the dog training for a week. You have to bring the dog to them everyday. It's 8-12 hours per day. You drop them off as early as 7 and you pick him up before 7 PM. The dog trainer works with the dog during the day and then you have a meeting at the end of the week and you get handed over the training from the trainer. You can choose any program. My dog is learning slowly. The trainer was really good but the place was just really expensive. But it's worth it.

Every visit was a blast for my dogs. They loved going to Holiday Barn.

I love Holiday Barn! I have used them for years. Their kennels are always extremely clean and the workers there are always "doing something" with the animals. You never see Holiday Barn's employees just sitting around chatting. My dog has fear issues and because he is big, his scaredy-cat nature has caused issues at some other day-care and boarding places in Richmond. Not so here.
When I went to pick him up, he was freshly groomed, with trimmed toenails and a rather dashing bandanna! He was tired, but not tired as in "freaked out all weekend" tired; he was happy tired.
Holiday Barn is not cheap. I assume it's not cheap so they can retain hard working employees (see above) and so that they can have nice, spacious kennels and clean, tidy facilities. And I am okay with paying more for excellent service.
I recommend them to everyone.

They are very reliable and their facilities are very clean with lots of amenities. They put my mind at ease when I leave my dogs there.

As usual, we bring the cats to the main desk to check in. The staff ask about vaccines and check-ups, if we want any add-ons or grooming and confirm length of stay. A staff member then helps and escorts us to the cat condos, then helps us transfer the cats. They give food and water to the cats and stow the crates for us. They'll jot down any additional notes and we're off. You can bring blankets, toys, treats, anything for the cats. Usually when we go to pick up the cats after vacation, they're relaxing in the sunny window and we have to drag them out of their lazy vacation spot to bring them home. Maybe they like the peace and quiet at Holiday Barn? Anyway, they always seem content and un-stressed when their holiday is over.

I would rate them highly and will use them again in the future if needed.
