I had previously purchased new tires from a national chain, and because we were due for inspection, I asked them to complete that, as well. What I ended up with was an estimate in the thousands of dollars for work they said needed to be done (this was after they misplaced my car key for a week and ordered the wrong replacement wheel, etc.). I had work that obviously needed to be done performed by a friend of a friend at his home. Then I found Hanover Auto Service by using Angie's List. I had driven past it many times but had never thought to stop there. I'm very glad I did.
Pedro (the owner and lead mechanic) and Marie (his wife and receptionist) were both just wonderful to work with. He went over the entire estimate from the other shop and told me honestly which assertions were legitimate and which were ridiculous. He didn't just tell me his opinion; he showed me in the state inspection manual and had me look under the hood and under the car to see exactly what he was talking about. Then he gave me tiered options for making the needed repairs. Those repairs were done pronto and I was fully inspected and safely on the road in short order...and at a fraction of the cost proposed by the other shop...even when you consider what I'd already spent with the home mechanic!
As added assurance, while in the waiting area I ran into an old friend who told me that she never takes her car anywhere else, because the service is so outstanding.
I recommend Hanover Auto Service wholeheartedly. It's good to find a mechanic who is competent and trustworthy with your vehicle. That's Pedro.

We continue to use this service with excellent results. Just picked up our car today. We were sure the repair that was needed was the alternator. Instead, Pedro's team diagnosed it as a simple belt problem and we were on our way at a fraction of what we expected to pay. We greatly appreciate the honesty and professionalism and recommend others discover this excellent service for themselves.

They were fantastic. That is the best auto mechanic and nicest young man you will ever run into. He has inspected my car for the last 3 years and does not hit me up for repairs I don't need in order to pass the inspection. I like them because they are courteous; it is the nicest group of young men. I can't say enough praises for Pedro, the owner. His wife works there too and she is great. I will never change companies.

The owner, Pedro, couldn’t be more honest if he had to, everyone who knows him just raves about his character and his work! If everyone were as nice and honest as this kid, this would be a better place!

Not to mention he is a fantastic mechanic! I have taken my car to him for the past 3 years and he tells me exactly what I need and does not try to upsell me at all. He explains thing very well and in terms I can understand.
