We also use them for termite control. My neighbor did all the quoting, but we quoted everybody. He quoted several people and we picked them on their pricing and on technique they use. They use the drill technique where they drill and put the stuff to keep the termites in the ground. They put a barrier around your house which is pretty neat. They just did a great job. The price is pretty competitive and we have been using them for several years. They come out about every two months to do pest control. Our annual fee for pest control is, I think, $342. I think the normal fee is $360, but you get a discount if you pay in advance. We are really particular and they do great. They call in advance before they come to see if it is okay with us, like, the night before. They communicate well and are very professional. I have no complaints; they do a great job.
Termites are a one-time treatment they do. They check on it but the treatment lasts for, like, five to ten years. They do the treatment and you pay one big fee then it is a small fee of about $95 every year to do the inspection. We live in a condo so we split the price with a neighbor. Everybody else is a lot higher. They go around a look at the whole lots out of the house. We did not have any termites, our neighbors did. Then they have to drill all the holes so there is quite a bit of labor involved. It took the guy the better part of the day to do all the drilling and put the poison in the ground to keep the termites away. They are very friendly, polite and they were prompt, on time. From the salesman on, they were just very good people. Their pricing was really the best price.
We had a bit of a hiccup during our last service call and since then we've had lots of spiders, ants and other bugs in our house. I called when the hiccup happened and then again today (three weeks or so later) to cancel our service. Both times the person answering the phone has been less than helpful. Her tone has been aggressive and confrontational and language unprofessional during the first call and much more so the second, especially after I gave her my name.
I should note that the sales person, service technicians and the person who manages this office are prompt, courteous and professional. With the exception of the last service, we have had no complaints about the quality of service provided.
On the agreed upon date and time, the technician came to the house to start the process. He had to trench in the house's crawl space and then drill into the areas that he could not access (like the brick steps). After drilling and trenching, he then treated the whole area with chemicals to eliminate the termites. This all was done very professionally.
