They replaced it with one in worse shape than the one I had, took my steering stabilizer, that was not defective in any way without my knowledge or permission and replaced it with a defective one rendering my vehicle unsafe and causing additional damage. They had 5 chances to fix what they did and repeatedly told me my vehicle was fine and met specifications. After taking it to the dealership and proving to them they caused over $3,000 worth of damage to my vehicle I paid them almost $1,500 to repair initially, they only wanted to pay for part of the damage but refused to pay one penny because I wouldn't sign a release for all the damage they caused and refused to pay for. My vehicle is no longer safe, I have nothing else to drive, am already out almost $1,500 and do not have another $3,000 to pay to repair the additional damage they caused or the defective parts they put on my vehicle. They're hiding behind their attorney who I have proof they lied to, just like they lied to me initially about what they did to my vehicle and although they have plenty of money to pay their attorney, I do not. Attorneys charge one third of what they recover, which would leave me $1,000 short of what I need to fix the damage they caused on top of the $1,500 I paid them to fix my differential in the first place. Check out the BBB. I filed a 28 page rebuttal to their dishonest response to my complaint with excerpts from the email exchanges I had with them and their attorney. It's all documented. It is not a case he said she said. They know they ripped me off and owe me money but have no intention of ever paying for it.

Complete automotive is great.  They always take great care of our cars.  I don't exactly know my way around my car's mechanics, if you know what I mean, and I have been offered things by other mechanics who were hoping I would spend more money than needed due to my ignorance.  Not so with Complete Automotive.  In fact, we came here after another shop tried to rip us off, and they went down the list and showed us all of the things we didn't need done in order to pass inspection.  That was six years ago.  We keep coming back because they give us quality service at a fair price.  We will never go anywhere else.

I went to Complete Automotive for a state inspection, and they were able to fit me while I waited. They rejected my vehicle for the state inspection stating that the front lower ball joints were bad, and that because Toyota does not sell ball joints separately, they would need to replace the control arms on both sides. Estimate came to $1300 for parts and labor. I paid the man at the counter $13 for my rejection sticker and left.
I took my vehicle to the Toyota dealer the following day where they did a thorough inspection of the front-end. Toyota mechanics found no issues with the ball joints, control arms or any other reason to reject my vehicle.
Now 2.5 years later, I have never had any issues with the ball joints. Nor have any of the mechanics who have performed work on or inspected my vehicle. Additionally, ball joints are available separately from multiple parts suppliers for substantially less than control arms. I will not go this mechanic again.

We had used this place in the past for an emergency auto issue and they were ok, but pricey, unresponsive, and somewhat rude. So you would think we had learned our lesson, that is until the monthly valpak came int he mail with it's alluring coupons. We received a coupon in the mail for a discount inspection, and sadly we took the bait hook line and sinker. We drop the car off, and no problem just the usual somewhat non-attentive desk clerk with his quick snarky responses. A few hours later we get the call, which in the past we never received and had to follow up on so I was needless to say shocked and somewhat optimistic, this too would be crushed in mere seconds. and quot;Your car needs it's headlights alligned to pass inspection and this will cost 29.99and quot; Yep you read that right folks 30.00 dollars to adjust headlights. I tell them no thank you I can do this myself, and that is when the guy on the phone gets rude with me. After a few moments of him lecturing me on the greater parts of a machine that calibrates head lights and reporting me to the state police for a failure of inspection I tell him we'll be by to pick up the car. When we get there the car is sittign in the lot with a passed inspection sticker on it. I go inside and the clerk rings me up for a inspection AND the headlights being done. I tell them we said don't do it and they say that they cannot undo it and we owe the money. When we get home we tested out the headlights and nothing was done to them, they look just like they did before. SO we got charged 30 dollars +
our coupon and taxes for our state inspection. Bottom line... NEVER EVER GO TO THIS SHOP.

I have used this shop probably 100 times to service or repair either my or one of my family's several cars. They have always been up front and honest and do not needlessly complete a service that does not need to be complied (i.e. you can test your brake fluid instead of blindly flushing every 30 or 60,000 miles.) Jason and Tim have always treated my family with the utmost respect and we have recommended this shop to many of our friends who have made Complete Automotive their primary mechanic. Repairs are completed on time and there is never surprises when it comes to billing. Good honest guys doing good honest work.

I take all four family cars there. They have the most competitive rates in the area. They also have effective customer service. The quality of their work isn't perfect.

Complete Automotive Of Richmond was very good. If the guys at the front desk are unsure about something, they consult with experts mechanics in the back. They are very trustworthy.
