He was not interested in representing me only himself. He expected us to take the first offer even though it was way below our asking price. He then threatened that if we didn’t take it we would have to settle for a lot less. Although the house eventually sold the whole process caused us a lot of stress

We met Cabell while looking on our own for a house to buy after relocating to Richmond. We had met a few other realtors but Cabell stood out by being friendly, knowledgeable and patient. We decided to work with him and met with him many times over a 3 month period until we found just the right property. On one occasion, his office manager, Wendy actually took us on our tours. That happened to be the day we found the property we were ultimately going to buy. Wendy and Cabell are a great team. Wendy assisted us with negotiating the purchase price, and Cabell assisted us with the home inspection. We realize now that the easy part is finding the right property. The hard part is negotiating with the seller around not only the price, but things you discover during inspection. Cabell and Wendy are great at negotiation and this is where you can really tell they have years of experience. We learned along the way that Cabell Childress is one of the top agents for Long and Foster, yet we always felt like we were his number one client.
