Cost of service: $5600.
This taught me to pay more attention to the fine print.
Less than a year and a half later a bearing goes out on the motor and is not covered.
Cost: $177.
I go to sell my house and the inspector reports the same motor is no longer working, less than 5 years of use. My agent calls Bone-Dry to give an estimate.
Cost: $1100!
When questioned about their so-called lifetime guarantee, the agent is told that is only on the French Drain they dug and not on any other work.
The final straw was when I had the motor repaired by another, more reputable company, and receive a bill.
Cost: $75 from Bone-Dry for a service call!!!
My recommendation:
Avoid Bone-Dry and Brian Payne. There are more reputable companies out there who actually stand by ALL their work.
**If you have respiratory issues, I recommend staying in a hotel when you schedule them to come out to do insulation work**
I would like to thank you and your team for the excellent service and support rendered during a crisis time for me regarding my crawlspace problems. The area is no longer cold, which caused pipes to freeze and burst leaving water all over the crawlspace. Never have I met an owner of a company as compassionate as Brian Payne. This company was God sent, their kindness and work ethics will never be forgotten.
I look forward to a continued working relationship with bone dry and will always highly recommend them.
Sincerely,
Stephanie A.
Here is the real story: My husband accidently broke an HDMI cable that was running from our new TV to the other side of the house in our and quot;media closet.and quot; The wires for the TV and speakers run all underneath the house through our crawlspace. Of course, my husband and I debated who was the lucky one to crawl under the house to fix the wires and replace the HDMI cable. I lost the fight due to my husband's clausterphobia and grabbed my flashlight. I crawled under the house and was shocked at how clean and dry the crawlspace was. This was months after the work was done and everything was really dry (even though it just rained). Also, I didn't smell any mold or mildew! The original issue was resolved and you couldn't even tell there was standing water in our crawlspace for who knows how long. I feel so much better that the issue was resolved.
I have already recommended this company to a few friends. Specially those buying a new house that has the same issues mine had.
