Hopeless service, outrageous price. I hired PROTECH PCS, LLC via Angi to organize my home network panel and label Ethernet/coax lines. On the phone, he quoted $150/hr and said location didn’t matter. He showed up late, brought an 8-port switch but no Ethernet cables, shoved wires back into the wall, used me as his tester, and labeled/tested nothing. After about an hour with no real work done, he demanded $600 for 1 hour 10 min., claiming a “$600 minimum” and travel time from Maryland—none of which was disclosed. I negotiated to $450 only if he left the switch; later I found the exact model online for $17. Days later, a pro recommended by my remodel contractor finished the job properly for $300 in under two hours, with real tools, ethernet cables, and clean results. I’ll never use Angi for computer/network work again. Angi should show verified business addresses. High ratings here look suspicious. Avoid this company.

"I am sorry that you are feeling hopeless and unhappy! First of all, we are not a wiring company, we are an IT company, we came to your house to set up wireless network, not wires, from Northern Virginia, not Maryland. We do not even operate in Maryland and nobody claimed that we came from Maryland! Second of all this gentleman took the tester switch out of my hand, which is very professional of him! Also wanted us to fix his swimming pool Wiring for him as well! We were in his house 10 minutes prior to our appointment! If you guys look at the pictures he posted there is only five ethernet cable and the rest is all coax, also one of them goes to his router, two wires go to the basement and two wires, go to the rest of the house, which gets distributed to a large house. Not enough! A mesh wireless network would have fixed his issues, but he demanded wiring, all over his house. Not what we have agreed-upon or do, changing from what we quoted him via FaceTime for more accurate estimate! I’m sorry we couldn’t make you happy, and I am very glad that somebody else was able to wire your entire house for $300. If you could also post his number or business name for others, because that sounds awesome, we can even use that business, if that if it even is true, like the rest of your words! We love everyone and do not hate anyone. We wish you all the best. Thanks"

It was a tag team effort to decipher my computer issues, after Geek Squad failed me. I have two, side by side desktops ( don't ask). All my issues with internet, printing, connectivity were solved. It took over 4 hours, and efforts back at their work site, to solve it. The work was started on a Sunday, and, by Monday evening, I was in a better situation than ever before. I have subscibed to continuous ongoing support.

Fantastic!! I had spilled black coffee all over the computer key board!! David saved all of the programs, files, documents, pictures in the trashed computer and transferred all to a new 3 times faster than the old one. He personally showed me how to use the new computer and explained why some of the issues with the old computer (before the coffee spill) had occurred and he is still attending to some issues that I have . He is amazing!! I would give him one thousand and one stars for excellent beyond expected service! i highly recommend his service!

David remoted in and did a lot of diagnostic and clean-up work. He was super responsive and most of our work was done over a weekend. I'm fairly computer savvy so he made some suggestions that I attempted on my own because they're time-intensive, such as reverting to the previous version of the OS. In the end, ended up going with an inexpensive wifi adapter in lieu of pursuing a hardware fix (at least for now). No pressure to pursue a more expensive solution. I was a little worried about how the time would add up but David was MORE than fair, charging me for less time than I thought he was owed. I will definitely reach out again for future computer issues.

We are finishing part of our basement into a bedroom, but before the drywall could be put up, we needed our ethernet and coax cables to be reroute. David did an excellent job and took the time to make everything nice and neat. We will be sure to use him in the future!

The rep was very professional and knowledgeable. I was having issues with my laptop and I was able to get it fixed without having to buy a new one. It's like somebody out there is watching that for me. You trust somebody to that computer and he had great reviews. It turned out to be awesome. Everything was just like I left it. I was very pleased. He was very knowledgeable. Their price is very reasonable.
