My leather Lazy boy sofa, purchased 3 years ago developed several tears in the cushion stitching. Lazy Boy sales recommended purchasing a 5 year warrantee from Ultra Shield to cove any issues with the sofa. Contacted representatives of Lazy Boy, who explicitly said the Lazy Boy warrantee was only one year on any defects, and to contact Ultra Shield. Ultra Shield was contacted and advised that the warrantee does not cover tears in the stitching, and to go back to Lazy Boy. "Now the runaround begins". What good is a warrantee that covers the unknown? Looks like Lazy Boy is in collusion with Ultra Shield for deceit. Would not recommend Lazy Boy products to anyone. If their quality and reputation is good for one year, best go to Good Will! Lazy Boy, nor Ultra Shield would provide any compensation.
Description of Work: Misleading, ambiguous information concerning the sale and a 5 year warrantee (Ultra Shield) on a $3000.00 sofa purchased 3 years ago.

So far, it hasn't exactly been satisfactory nor a wonderful experience. The sales clerk that waited on me was brand new, so he wasn't up to par on placing a custom order and knowing what he needed to do. Regardless, it's understandable he'd have to ask his supervisor and store manager what was needed. Ok, that's fine. I was told by the sales person my couch was coming from the base plant as all customer orders do, and would take approx. 6 weeks. Also, when I declined the extra fabric protection for an additional $200, the store manager very aloofly took offense. That's within a customer's right to decline, it is an option but not mandatory so I don't take kindly to being the recipient of "attitude". However, aside from that I can live with these small indifferences since I need the couch no later than May 1st when my house guests arrive. Even so, against my better judgment I decided to allow Lazy Boy the benefit of doubt and went ahead and placed my order. Since that day I have received multiple marketing enticements and phone calls from Lazy Boy sharing special event information. Hence, I decided to check on the status of my order during a "VIP customer appreciation" day. The store manager looked my order up in their system and told me the factory assigned a deliver date of mid-June for fulfillment. What? When a vendor takes payment up front, the customer has every right to expect their merchandise to be delivered within a reasonable amount of time. From March 7th to mid-June means that 4 months is how long it takes to make one small sleeper couch? I don't think so, and I could probably take a boat to China and get it faster than that. Guess the icing on the cake is that the manager also told me in person he was training new sales people but would have his floor manager call me first thing on Monday after she has checked with the factory to see what the hold-up is. Did I receive a call? No, and that was a week ago. Am more than tempted to cancel my order as I feel I've been given the run around and not treated professionally. Plain and simple, this feels very much almost like bait + switch in the time delay and very blatant poor customer service. With as many clients as I deal with for interior decorating and design, I will not be recommending them to visit Lazy Boy furniture.
Description of Work: I ordered a full size sleeper bed couch from Lazy Boy furniture.
