I have been working with them since 2000. I bought my house in 1998 or 1999. The owner of the company, who I have gotten to know quite well over the years, did all of the landscaping and they have done all of the landscaping since. I have had about three major landscape projects from about 2000 on. They have always been my source for every major plant purchase, all landscaping services and most of the minor plants until June or July of last year. I won't go near them, I won't talk to them and customer service gets a big, fat F. Usually come spring they are just overburdened with work because everybody wants plants and all such things. I have known them for years, I considered them friends including the man and his wife that own it and their son, but they hire other people. So I know this so I get my order in earlier -- as early as possible knowing it is going to take a month before I see it. Knowing this, I called in March and asked them to mulch the whole front bed. Now, we're talking a pretty bid job; we're talking $500 to $700 work. They kept saying they would get her and this went on until July. So the wife calls me back and said they could do it the next week. I told them to forget it, it was too late. I need the mulch down in the spring so I told them to forget it for this year. I asked to speak to the husband who called back about a day later. He was all apologies. I said earlier I did not care whose fault it was or why it happened, I just wanted his assurance it would not happen again. I still needed the beds mulched and I needed them mulched next spring. I asked him to give me his word that they would come and do it early next spring. He would not do it and instead was hemming and hawing until finally the conversation got to the point where he said he would think about whether he was even going to come. He insulted me and said things he never should have said. He made intimations about me. I hung up on him and wrote him a letter. When they actually do the work it is great; it is just getting them to do the work. I have never had any beef with the work they have done; they have done excellent work.
