They cussed out my neighbor and tried starting an altercation because he asked them not to block the road so he could return home. They drove all over my neighbors yard leaving ruts and drops of asphalt behind. When I called to discuss it the lady was hostile and argumentative and hung up on me after also swearing. The damage was very minimal but the attitude and lack of professionalism was extreme. Hire at your own risk.

The job done is excellent and looks great. Not much else needs to be said. I have a driveway that is 300' x 13' and $800 seems cheap compared to other providers I used in the past that are half as good as RNJ.

They were friendly, professional and worked very hard.  They did a great job on my driveway and did not go over the estimate. they even added extra touches that I had not thought of. I recommend them to anyone.

R & J Paving were nice to work with. They did have to come back because the lines on the parking lot weren't correct or the printings weren't put on dark enough. But I would say they came back and they totally corrected it. I would work with them again. They were very willing to do anything to satisfy the customer. They did came back to do what they were supposed to. We're satisfied with the job. Their prices are very good.

My neighbor recommended this company as they sealed his driveway and his daughter's driveway.  He said they did a good job and that he would use them again in the future.  I scheduled an appointment for them to come out and estimate the cost of the job and provide an estimate when it could be completed.  At the scheduled date and time (a Saturday morning), they did not show up.  They attempted to leave a message on that date on my work number, which we learned was not allowing messages to be left.  When I called them back, I realized they hadn't asked for and I hadn't given them my home phone number where the work was to be accomplished and where I had been waiting all morning and the early part of the afternoon.
We re-scheduled an estimate time for the following Saturday morning at 9:00 and I provided my home phone number and cell phone number and I was assured this call would be their first call of the day.  At 10:00 I received a call that they were about an hour away.  Two men arrived in a pickup with another paving company name on the side at about 11:45.  The estimator introduced himself as the son of the founder of RNJ Paving and shared that he had been working for his father since he was fifteen years old and that he had been working in the asphalt business for over twenty years.  He provided a verbal quote and a rough estimated of when they could begin work "depending on weather and workload".  He told me that he'd make sure I was satisfied before I paid since he wanted a satisfied customer.  He said he might need to powerwash the driveway to remove some moss growing on a few sections so the sealant would bond better.  He said he would bring a contract on the day they would start work and he assured me that they would call a few days before they would start work.
A few days later he called the house and told my wife that he was coming over "in a few hours" to cut out and replace the section of driveway that had "spider web" cracks.  When he arrived he did not have a contract nor a written estimate, but told my wife that we would need to have cash or a check for him on Saturday when he came back to seal the driveway.  He was rude and demanding as she was on the phone at the time so she was unable to ask questions for clarification as we intended to discuss financing options with him over contract negotiations. None of the options we were considering included immediate payment, but payment by credit card was one option.  The next day I called them to clarify and with the job partially complete was told for the first time that this company had no ability to accept payment by credit card for this capital-intensive job and that I would not need to pay in cash, but that they would accept a personal check.  I informed them that I needed to make special financing arrangements since I do not have that much money available to complete the job.  After I made financial arrangements over the next couple of days, I called him back to confirm that I could have a personal check for him on Saturday.  We scheduled for him to finish the job at 9:00 that Saturday.
On Saturday, at a bit after 9:00 he said he was about an hour away.  Shortly after 11:00 he arrived with his crew and they got their equipment out of the trucks and began work.  Nobody came to the door, no written estimate nor contract was ever delivered.  They use a leaf blowers to clear off the driveway and sprayed sealer on the driveway.  When he came to the door after he had finished the job, he wanted immediate payment.  He wanted to make sure the check was not made payable to RNJ Paving, but he wanted to cash it personally.  I left the payee blank so he could determine how he wanted to draw payment with the check.
I was unable to check the quality of the work until the sealant dried.  They appeared to have used an acceptable amount of sealant, however they sprayed sealant right over the moss on the pavement which he told me needed to be removed prior to application of the sealant.  Within an hour of leaving my house, with the sealant still wet so I had not yet discovered the sealant sprayed on the moss, he asked for the phone number to the financial institution on which the check was drawn.  He confirmed that the phone number he had was the same one as I had provided him.  He was concerned because he could not get anybody to answer the phone there on a Saturday. He called back again to ask where he might be able to cash the check on a Saturday afternoon.  He called again on Monday morning about options for cashing the check.  At one point within a half hour time span when my disabled wife was unable to get to the phone, he left one message and make fourteen attempts, several of them within seconds of each other.  When she finally was able to get to the phone to speak with him, she had to explain the American banking system to him and to explain the various options available for cashing a check in Virginia.  The check cleared my bank that same day.
We will not use RNJ Paving for any future work nor will I risk my personal reputation by offering a recommendation for such an unprofessional company.
