Brandon and his team did a fabulous job in helping us come up with a plan and in completing the work. They were pleasant and responsive and kept us informed when there was a delay. We were very pleased with every aspect of our experience.

Called Potomac Plumbing 6/22/15 and they came out the very next morning to inspect, diagnose and fix the problem.  Very courteous, knowledgeable, punctual, and professional.  Fixed a seal around the bathtub overflow drain.  Highly recommend for your plumbing needs.

On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, we woke up around 9:30 a.m. to find we had no hot water.  We called Brandon who said he could examine the water heater late that afternoon to determine the problem.  He arrived at about 3:30 p.m. that day, examined that the 9 year-old water heater, and determined that we needed a replacement.  He also showed me personally what the problem was and showed me that a simple fix would not work.  Because of my experience with plumbing, I knew that a replacement was required.  Because I had friends arriving from Indiana that afternoon, it was imperative that we had hot water.  Brandon immediately scheduled a replacement water heater for the next morning.  He arrived the next day shortly after 8:00 am and within 2 1/2 hours we had hot water for our guests and ourselves.  Brandon drained our old water heater, replaced it with a new one, guaranteed his own 2-year 100% personal guarantee (over and above the 6 year guarantee by the water heater company), removed the old water heater and cleaned up the entire area.  This is a family-owned business started by his father who is semi-retired which he  turned the business over to him. 

Because of Angie's List requirements, it is suggested that the "Don'ts" should be recorded so here goes.  DON'T be trapped by discounts and/or coupons to save a few dollars (which may or may not save you something years down the road).  Brandon will work with you and you will know that you have received quality service at a reasonable price and that his word is his bond.  I have already discussed some future plumbing project for later this year and, as far as I am concerned, his company is the only one that I trust 100% to do that work satisfactorily.

Brandon and his assisant were fantasticI He was very responsive with initial appointment, estimates and getting the work done. The water line went through several interior and exteriour walls and I really appreciated that Brandon kept me infomed and gave me options during the job since there were pros and cons to differrent paths. I had an additional toilet issue I brought up after the job and he cheerfully spent a considerable amount of time assessing the issue for no additional charge. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and I would highly reccoommend Potomac Plumbing and Gas.

The job involved copper plumbing in an older home. The provider was punctual and professional. The provider completed the work in the estimated time frame.

Brandon from Potomac plumbing was called in as a sub-contractor to do some warranty repair work for JD restoration. He was prompt, quick, neat, and personable. He was able to identify the problem, which previous contractor had failed to address about a year ago. He then promptly did the repair and also explained what the problem was. He did the entire job in less than the time than estimated, was very neat and clean with his work, and I will definitely be adding Potomac Plumbing to my phone list when I need another plumbing issue addressed.

Brandon was very responsive to our request for service and did an excellent job and was very quick in finding out what the issue was and he backs his services with a guarantee. Excellent customer service! Will be our go to plumber.

The gas company had shut down my gas on a weekend and I needed it restored immediately. They were able to come out on Monday morning. They kept in good communication with me and were very responsive.  I was able to text message the owner a picture of the part needed. They were able to bring it with them and complete the job in one visit. Two men came out for the job it was completed in about twenty-five minutes. They gave me a flat rate for the service and even reduced the cost by $100 when I told him I was a member of Angie’s List. Overall, my experience with them was great!

My husband and I were on a ski trip out of town when our renters called to tell us they had no hot water.  The original company we called (whom we have worked with before) came out and said the water heater needed to be replaced and that it was "shot".  They gave us an estimate of $1,800 which seemed a little steep to us so we called around for estimates.  One place gave us a price of $1400 then we happened upon Brandon on Angie's List.
He quoted us a price of $1,100 but also went out and gave us a second opinion on whether or not it could be repaired before we made the final decision.   We decided to go with him, partly because of the price, but mostly because we prefer dealing closely with the owner of a contracting business.  As a rule, we have received far better prices and service dealing with owners.
Here's where it gets good.  The heater to be replaced is up two flights of stairs, the last one having a couple tight turns.  When Brandon got there and saw it, he told us the original $1,800 quote was not that ridiculous given the extra man power necessary.  however, because he had already quoted us the $1,100 we settled on a price of $1,200.  He installed it the next day with absolutely zero drama.  
It's difficult to find people who are as good the words that come out of their mouths, but Brandon is definitely one of them.  He is the kind of contractor you hope you can find, and he has earned a loyal customer.  We will be calling him first for future projects.

It went very well.  We had agreed on a service date and Brandon called the day before to tell me he had an opening and could do the work early.  The guys did an excellent job connecting into our existing gas line, and installing the cooktop.  Very professional.  Even Brandon came by to ensure everything was done properly and to our satisfaction.

It went great, there were no problems.

A few days ago my wife and I smelled gas.  We called the gas company and they found a regulator that leaked.  The gas company gave us a slip, shut off our gas and told us to get a plumber.  I joined Angie's List for this repair and decided on Potomac Plumbing based on the reviews.  Everything but the price was awesome. Brandan was professional, friendly and explained everything.  My only beef is the price.  It took Brandan 10 minutes to replace the regulator.  I looked up the part and found it online for $65. $385 for 10 min labor seems excessive.  I may be wrong and this might be the normal amount for this type of repair but I have asked around my office and everyone agreed it seemed a little steep.

Hot water was out on a 21 year old tank.  Called Brandon inquiring about an Angie's deal that his company didn't have prerogative to schedule.  He scheduled an immediate call and promised a good price.  When he arrived it turned out only the pilot light had extinguished.  I was impressed with his honesty, and since the tank was so old I asked him to replace it anyway.  He gave me a good  deal and finished up the work that evening.  I asked him to fix an faucet as well, which he scheduled for the following week, but he had two emergency calls with no water so he called me and asked if I would mind rescheduling to the next day, and he put me first on his list.  Brandon is a friendly, customer service oriented guy, and I plan to use him again any time I have a plumbing need.

It all went very well.  They were able to come out the next day and performed the sump pump replacement without any problems or surprises.

It was difficult for Potomac due to the age of water heater. Handle broke off while old one was being dismantled. They got all the water soaked up and fans to dry it out. Even though it took them longer to do the job it did not change the cost. We are pleased with the outcome.
