Technician arrived as scheduled, appeared quite competent, did what was needed, and was very good about explaining and documenting what he found regarding the condition of the system. He suggested it might be advisable to replace a part to reduce chance of future failure but applied no pressure to do so.

My AC unit quit working today (Sunday) so I called a few places to get it fixed but the earliest anyone could get to me was, “sometime tomorrow.” I have a newborn baby so that answer didn’t sit well. Then all the sudden I remembered seeing an Aire Serv van servicing my neighbors house a few months ago and decided to give them a call. Their dispatcher took my info and said they’d have someone give me a call this evening. Not only did I get a call within 20 minutes, but I had a technician actively repairing my AC unit within the hour! My technicians name was Rick and he was awesome. Very professional, knowledgeable and efficient! He even gave me a little lesson on HVAC. Because I had such a pleasant experience, I’m certainly going to recommend these guys to all my friends and family. Easy Five Stars from me. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The diagnostic part went well. They promised to waive the $125 fee if there was a paid repair, which sounded fair. Kelvin, the technician, arrived on time and soon found I had a broken motherboard. Then I got the repair estimate - $580. And the technician said that cost was mostly for the part itself, not the labor. That sounded steep to me, so I opted to pay the service fee instead and asked for the serial number of the part I needed so that I could try to do the repair myself. Kelvin promised to send me the part number in his write-up via email after I paid. I wrote the check and he left. When I got his email, he failed to include the part number as he had promised. So I found the part number on the old motherboard and ordered a new one online at RepairClinic for $80 (it would've been $40 if I'd gone with the off brand). An electrical engineer friend of mine helped me install the new part in less than an hour, and now my furnace works perfectly. I write this review because Aire Serv was dishonest with me on two points. First, the price was highly inflated. Let's say you assume a 100% markup in the part price, that's 80*100% or $160. Then add to that the labor charge for a generous two hours of labor (diagnostics + repair time) assuming a generous $125/hour. That would total about $410. But they were supposed to waive the initial service charge, so it should have been about $285. Because they wanted to charge $580, it seems to me that they not only charged back in the supposedly waived service fee, but also massively inflated the part price by more than four times the actual part cost! A 400% markup is not standard or fair. Second, the technician withheld information about the part that he said we would give me, and which I think I was owed as part of the $125-check I wrote him for his diagnostic services. I even texted him when I didn't see that info in his invoice email, but never heard back. To me, that's a breech of the agreement. I was given incomplete diagnostic services simply because I opted not to have them do the repair. In the future, I'm going to find a company that's honest with me and fair on price and fulfillment.

The installation went well. Over the four years, there were two problems with indoor units leaking that were installation-related, but these were fixed right away. Tune-ups have been done regularly twice a year, around March-April and September-October each year. The maintenance technicians have always been very pleasant and polite, but lately seem to be less experienced (new, being trained) than they were at first. In December, one heat pump stopped working. The technician diagnosed that we needed a new motor and controller. Although the parts are still under warranty, this would cost about $450 ( for labor and the diagnosis). He couldn't explain why this problem had happened ("it happens"). We got a second opinion from another company. They found a completely different problem , and in fact fixed the unit for about $200, including the diagnosis. It has been working fine, so we have terminated our maintenance contract with AireServ.

We were very pleased with the maintenance team sent to our home. They checked out our furnance very thoroughly and discovered a leak in one of the water pipes leading away from the furnance. Their diagnosis saved us a lot of trouble. We're very glad that we have a ongoing relationship with AireServ!

almost everything was very smooth. the workers doing the actual work were outstanding, profession, courteous! the presentation on what i needed and a thorough explanation during the initial evaluation was very nice. my only complant was i was charged something like $250 for them to handle all permit pulling and inspections. after the jo b was done i find out they never pulled any permits or reported their work to the county inspectors office, yet still charged me the $250. they claim it was a simple oversight. hard to believe that.

We had a great experience all around! Renee was extremely kind on the phone and getting us an appointment time was quick. Chad called 10 minutes before he arrived which was right at the beginning of the 2 hour window we had been given. He listened to my concerns and offered to address my main concern first. We felt we had a good understanding of what the issue was with our unit (we had spent a couple weeks researching and troubleshooting the unit ourself, and ultimately came to the conclusion it probably needed refrigerant) and after Chad confirmed our refrigerant was low, he offered several options and recommendations but then allowed us to make the best decision for us. He did not pressure us but rather educated us and ultimately serviced our unit as we requested. If we ever need anything else related to our A/C-Furnace units, we will definitely call Aire Serv.
