Remac was paving in Fayetteville Nc, unfortunately did not allow asphalt to cool and melted my tires, all 4. I provided proof they were beyond the scrape they offered and refused liability. Was told by Matthew 22k mile all season tires are worn beyond passing inspection and therefore his company is not liable.

REMAC did a complete paving job at our home.  It was extensive and pretty expensive.  The paving went from the street, down to the garage of our home, curved around the house and went to the end of the dock, at water's edge.  There was also a "circle" around the front flower beds and a wide apron in front of a detached garage.  I wrote a letter to the company in early spring along with photos showing that some of the paving wasn't graded properly at the front of the garage and down by the dock.  There was a 15' long area that had grass growing through it, indicating that it was not the contracted 3", compacted to 2".  The owner of the company called me and discussed the problem and asked if I could wait until they had a job in the area and that was agreed to by the 2 of us.  Later, i was contacted by the son of the owner who completed the original job.  He asked to come down and meet with me so he could see the areas that needed repairs.  We both agreed to a time and he did show up at the appointed time.  We were leaving on vacation in a couple of weeks and he wanted to do the job then, to minimize traffic over the repairs.  We scheduled the work to be done while we were away.  
     When we got home today, the job was complete and appears to be done correctly.  There was a minimum of mess, save for one plastic cup left by a worker.  Everything looks well done and hopefully, it will hold up over time.  REMAC stood behind their guarantee and did not try to wiggle out of the repairs.  They did not try to make us pay anything for the warranty work and were professional guys to deal with.  I would use them again.  Getting a driveway the size of ours is an expensive proposition and I want it to last.  So spend your money wisely.   According to the company, an asphalt driveway should be sealed every 4-5 years to prevent cracking.  We plan to do that in a few years.  Also, we had a gravel drive as a base and i think that helps provide a stable foundation for the asphalt.

This is an excellent company. They estimated the job,sent a written estimate,and billed exactly the amount of the estimate. They showed up when they said they would show up. The work was excellent and fairly priced. Yes,I will deal with this company again.
