Zips Dry Cleaners - Fredericksburg

When I brought my dry cleaning there I was told that they don't press, they only dry clean. When my husband went, they told him the same thing. So I'm a little confused by the other comments saying that some/all their stuff was dry cleaned AND pressed. If that's he case, why ere we told otherwise in 2 separate occasions? Bottom line, for us, if they can't do both then what's the point.

I've used this Zips Cleaners for about five years and never had any major problems. The prices can't be beat and my clothing has always been ready for pickup when promised. There have been several times when my blouses weren't pressed properly, especially if they had been drycleaned. I had to request that special attention be given to ensure the blouse(s) was pressed properly. I had a white dress cleaned and picked it up on May 8. Initially, everything seemed fine and I didn't notice any damage. However, when I put the dress on on Wednesday, May 15 I discovered two of the buttons had been broken off. This was practially a new dress (only worn three times) and is the uniform dress that I wear at church as an Usher. I was scheduled to serve at a funeral on that day and was unable to do so because of this issue. I took the dress back to the cleaners and spoke with the manager on duty. She told me they weren't responsible for buttons and mentioned they break/lose hundreds of buttons and can't possibly account for them. She offered to move the other buttons up on the dress, but it would have left the bottom of the dress open and without buttons. That was an unacceptable option. No other type of restitution was offered to me. I asked her why no one on her staff informed me of the broken buttons when I picked the dress up. It still would have been an inconvenience, but at least I would have had time to get replacement buttons. She had no answer for me. As a result, I had to drive around to several stores searching for replacement buttons. Since I could not find a match for the buttons on the dress, I had to replace all nine buttons. This was a major inconvenience for me. I've lost confidence in Zips Cleaners. The prices are cheap, but the attention to detail is lacking. If they damage your clothing, they will not reimburse you and will simply tell you they aren't responsible.

They have great prices. I've used them a lot the past 6 months. They can do it the same day if you bring it in early.
