I was one of Bill's first customers when he went into business for himself a number of years ago. He has installed all of my fireplaces and has serviced them regularly, ever since. He's a little tough to nail down on precise scheduling but the quality of his service is worth it and his pricing is very fair. Highly recommend.

The technician was able to diagnose the problem which had been identified by Washington gas when we had a gas leak. He charged $199 to clean the unit and diagnose the leak. The gas had previously been shut off by the gas company. Two weeks later the owner returned with a necessary part (though as it turned out, that part was not the problem) and fully repaired the fireplace. The work was very well done, I appreciated the time and knowledge that were applied to our repair. My only complaint is that the original technician was not clear about when he would arrive (he works only in the afternoon but I has stayed around all morning waiting for him) and it took ten days for them to get back to me with the part for the repair. So timeliness is not their strong suit, but technically they do a great job.

I use Angie's List exclusively and researched several companies before deciding on Yeager based on responsive call backs and most competitive price. Bill was absolutely outstanding - on time (sometimes hard to do because prior jobs run over), fixed everything, and cleaned up a long overdue fireplace service. The price & quality was superb. I will definitely use Yeager again when time for next service.

Serviced my gas fireplace within 24 hours of the call. Coated the floors with paper. Cleaned the fireplace. Advised me regarding my nearly dead blower, plus additional tips to improve fireplace performance. We agreed to replace blower. He had a new one with him, so, no waiting. Entire replacement/service took about an hour. He cleaned all up and vanished into the night. Very professional and pleasant. I called with a question in the next day, and, even though it was his one day off, he returned the call and resolved my query. Bill Yeager was great to deal with. I recommend him highly

After having several companies service our fireplace we still couldn't get to the root of the problem. One company told I needed to replace the entire fireplace to the tune of $5-$10K. Another company came out and told me I needed a new LP gas valve which would be $950 on top of the $225 service call. I decided to order the part I was told I needed myself ($175) and called Bill to install it. Bill was great and worked with my schedule. He called before heading over and arrived on time. At first glance Bill indicated he didn't think I needed a new gas valve. Turns out the part number given to me by the other company's technician was the wrong part entirely. Bill took apart the fireplace and serviced it. He cleaned out a spider web in the piping and when he put it all back together our fireplace was like brand new! His service call was reasonable and he was the only person to actually service our fireplace properly - after 4 other companies have come out before. Highly recommend Bill - he knows what he is doing and was very professional. I will not have anyone service my fireplace ever again!

Bill works late hours, so it was very convenient to be able to schedule a window of time after work. He was prompt, professional, and has a good sense of humor. I'm very pleased with the way my fireplace doors turned out. In addition, earlier this year, I had them clean/check my gas logs because I hadn't used them in years. The technician was prompt and made sure to call to let me know when he was on his way. Furthermore, they are very upfront about their pricing.

When I called to set up an appointment on January 3rd, I talked to a very nice woman who said that she would pass on my information to one of their techs. She did warn me that they would call me, but that it may be the next day because they are overwhelmed with calls. The following day, I got a call from Ron who sounded like he had just woken up from a nap and was highly confused. He told he that he had a bunch of jobs in the Alexandria area, but that he was only going to come up when he could get them all done. He said he would call me and let me know when he would be coming once he got calls back from everyone. That was Wednesday. I received no follow up phone calls until Friday. He called and, again, sounded very confused. He told me that, "obviously I didn't get there yesterday." And he wanted to know if he could make an appointment for Saturday. Fast forward to Saturday when at 3:30, I still hadn't received a phone call to let me know when he was coming by. I called to find out what was going on. He told me that his job is extremely unpredictable and that he really couldn't tell me when he'd be coming by. It would have been helpful to know this information from the beginning. He said he had two other jobs before some but that he would call when he was on his way. 5pm there's a knock on my door. No phone call, nothing. Just shows up, smelling up my condo with cigarette smoke. He then proceeded to "clean and service" my fireplace. Basically he dusted off the logs. The only helpful thing he did was tell me he has detected a leak. When I asked if he could fix the leak, he told me that these units don't get fixed, they get replaced. I asked an approximate as to what they cost. He said $1400. So I just paid $199 to had a guy dust my fireplace and tell me it has a leak. Follow up: The owner reached out to me tonight to harass me about my post. He said that I left out detail about the conversation we had. He didn't note that my review was prior to his call. He then started putting me down and judging me without even knowing me. "Without even seeing you I can tell your single overweight and have a hatred for men." "We aren't your slave your neighbors even know about you they talked about you." (Note, I am new to the neighborhood and know two of my neighbors.) I screen shot another harassing email he sent to a different client and received this as a response, "Why don't you go out trying to make some friends or something instead of trying to hurt people's businesses." Angie's List, I assume you wouldn't condone someone who harasses previous clients, a month and a half after the post, and at 9:45pm. Perhaps he needs to be checked out.

"Dear Angies List great customers.. I want to be fair to anyone who is dissatisfied with our service. I will reach out to people to try to see what is wrong and see if I can make it better which is exactly what I did for her and she called it harassment. At first, I believed her and was very upset with my technician until I found out the treatment he received from this person. She abused my technician on the phone verbally before he arrived. Yelled.."Ive been waiting all day!!" Which is not true because he had told her she would not hear from him until after 3:30 p.m. That set the stage for the tension. Please read her review above ..how she's insulting him about saying hes "Confused and woken up from a nap"?? What is she talking about? The man works 14 hour days. He could have been tired. We are all tired, yes we work much longer hours than avg people. He may have been doing exactly what he is told and calling customers. He may have been tired. She was after him,... and now shes after me too.. shes put this same review on Yelp. Why be so determined to attack people's busineses? He tried to satisfy her, which is commendable for him to be still willing, the way he was treated..to still try, so he showed up to do the job anyway and she verbally abused him in her "condo".. Her own stated words make no sense... think about her statement..." She's mad hes not there yet but when he DOES show up, shes mad he showed up. " Somethings wrong. Its obvious. She belittled him, said she didn't want to pay the $199 that she agreed to pay to get us out there.. He found a gas leak in her wall that needed a gas plumber and she started blaming him and his leak detector. She should be thanking him! Her house had a major gas leak and the gas company rushed out and shut off her gas, thank goodness!! I spent 20 mins on the phone apologizing for no fault of ours and offering to come back for free to double check his findings and she insisted that I give her a free $120 remote that she tried to say she thinks that's included in the service fee cost.. How would I give a free remote? I told her "No, sorry, no free remotes, not free.." and she got real mean and disrespectful and hung up. Just the same way she treated my technician she gave the same treatment to me. Thats when I knew my tech was telling the truth. I cant reason with this person. Its impossible. She just threatens to put bad reviews and "Call the cops.". Yup said that too. She is absolutely out to wreck my business and my good reputation. She went on Yelp and did the same thing to me ..she's harassing me. I wish there was a way for small businesses to protect themselves, but there just isnt any database to warn businesses about certain customers who are out to ruin businesses. Im shocked at what some people do. Just shocked. Just makes me want to rethink what Im doing..Is this healthy for me to get this abuse?..as a result of hard work and trying to please everyone? Is this my reward?. For such a small amount of money? Im so glad most people arent like her. My customers know the good service I provide and the great respect which I show them. All of my "A" reviews and continuous Super Service awards didn't come by accident, they are from very hard work and great interactions with people.. See above.her diatribe. She spent alot of time writing her angry thoughts. I hope she finds peace. I wish there was some review about her I could have seen before allowing my service to be drawn into this. I paid $199 for the initial service visit. Then the owner called me back to follow up and began asking a series of questions about fireplace dimensions, configuration of the existing unit — to which I replied that this info should have been collected and provided by the technician who visited the house in the first place. When I expressed my frustration to the owner he replied unprofessionally as if he were doing a favor to us. We deserved more courteous treatment.

He responded quickly and did a full service of the existing system to determine if a repair rather than a replacement was more economical. We decided to have the vented log set replaced with a ventless system. He provided a number of options and cost points and did not try to steer us to a particular solution. Once we identified the system we wanted, he placed the order with expedited delivery. As soon as he received the new log set, he agreed to an evening installation appointment that met our availability. The installation went without any issues and he provided a detailed instructions on the operation of the new logs. He was very careful about the ensuring the floor around the fireplace was covered to ensure no soot got not he area carpet. Once the job was done, he ensured the work area was completely cleaned. We are thrilled with the work done and believe we got a very fair price for the purchase and installation fo the new log system. He was fun to work with - professional while being quite entertaining! We we certainly use Bill for all annual maintenance requirements for our new logs and would recommend him without hesitation.

Awesome. I can't say enough about this company. I called several fireplace repair companies that were recommended by the manufacturer. None would come out until mid-January (6 week wait!). Mr. Yeager was willing to come to our house extremely late and do the repair so we could be up and running quickly with cold weather coming. Very nice, professional, and honest- and they stand behind their work. I wish there were more companies like this. Highly, highly recommend.

Be warned. Guy that showed up (not Bill) was unprofessional. He flirted. He made inappropriate comments about my house and money status. He even tried to touch my butt. Unacceptable. He did his job and cleaned the fireplace BUT the uninvited flirting was inappropriate. I will never use them again. Most uncomfortable and unprofessional service ever.

"WOW!!! I have questioned thoroughly my technician about this allegation . I would never condone such behavior nor would it ever be permitted to occur. My technician denied ever flirting with you, maam. He told me you were showing your tattoos by lifting your pants legs up and that you hugged him when he had his hands full with his tool bag and work tickets. Could it be that you were getting too comfortable with a stranger in your house? I dont know... I've just never heard of such a thing ever happening before and my technician has worked for Comcast for 20 years before working for me and has never had one single incident such as this in a customer's house. And IF this actually had occurred, you would certainly have called the owner of the company immediately to tell them some inappropriate behavior had happened, RIGHT? But you never called me or even emailed me. You just posted this" Hit Job" on my reviews. Honestly , your review reads like fantasy, unrequited love in a Fabio romance novel. It just does.. Glass is mostly clean, but can still see the pattern of the film a bit. Mr. Yeager was pleasant on the phone and arranged for an evening visit which was convenient for me. I thought the $199 fee to replace the batteries, clean the glass, and shake loose any build-up at the source of the flame was a little steep. Maybe a little chattier than I prefer, but very neat.
